If I want to contact someone who is posting under an alias, I thought it was not possible... until I was contacted (via pm) from an alias.

So I was curious to know how this is possible... Would I need to be a full VIP member or would the alias have to pm me first?

The person had mentioned to click on their name (as there would be no envelope) but that doesn't work.

click on the alias and the 'mail to' should pop up. or just put the alias into a new outgoing PM.

if they are using an alias they have VIP (I believe)

Just enter the alias name in the "To" block when you compose your PM.  Easiest way is just to copy and paste.

Clicking on Alias does nothing. Yeah, they have to have VIP in order to use Alias feature.

I just tried the the other suggestion and it got sent. Thanks.

My VIP just ran out, so I am off to pay that. I don't like limited VIP and I think that is perhaps why I can't click on alias to pm the person.
