Photos are definitely important, but there are lots of ways to be successful

I do look at pictures to figure out what a person looks like, and whether the look appeals to me. And I was seduced once by someone with very professional, gorgeous photos. Paid extra to see her, too, and the woman, while well built, good looking and definitely the woman in the photos, fell far short of the pictures. Should not have been a surprise, looking back on it, but it was a disappointment and aa lesson.

So I prefer more real-looking pictures these days and only rely on the photos to give a general idea of the look, with the understanding that the more professional the photos and web site, the more likely the photos present the person in the best possible light and she will not look quite that good in person.

Having said that, I think professional photos that make you look as good as possible without appearing to be altered are a great marketing tool. I am sure they will pay for themselves in added business within a week.

There also is this different approach that a local provider has figured out - minimal web presence (no prices, nothing about her services), very few photos, though they are nice, but she has gotten lots of reviews and is very active. She expands her web presence by being listed a lot of places - not the low end ones, but P411, RS2K, escorts.com, etc. Aside from lots of reviews, she is not active here, but she does encourage people to review her.

Her approach works well and is sufficiently different that I find it of interest and worth sharing. The few photos she does have definitely look to have been professionally done.

I'm just still a newbie...8months now being a provider. I dabble in photography as a hobby and passtime so I know a lot about portraits but sadly I can not take many good pictures of myself because it is difficult. I'm really trying to re-invent my image to a more professional whole GFE type companion. Not just the butt, legs, and breasts girl to look for. So my questions.....

LADIES:
-What kind of search can I do in my area for photographers who do semi-nude posing? Boudoir photographers?
-What is a good amount to spend on about 10 photographs or equal to that in time?
-Do you ever disclose why these photographs are being taken? What rights do you have to use them to techincally "make money"
-Do you find working with a male of female photographer more comfortable?

GENTLEMEN:
-Do you ever pass you women who do not have professional photography of them but do have GOOD shots of them?It looking like they did it themselves but yet a nice job?Does it make it seem more personal and less likely to be "photo shopped"?
-Do you like mostly nude photographs or semi-nude? DO you prefer to see a picture of her in nice clothes as well?
-Will you pass up a provider if she does not show her nipples or vaginal area?
-Is her showing her face important? Is it more effective to your senses for her to just blur out her face, or not show it at all(face away from the camera)

**I included a link to my website to show my pictures as a basis. Constructive respectful feedback is appreciated!(from men and women! ANY OTHER advice is appreciated! THANKS!

however with the quality of ditital equipment available today this need not be a professional shoot at all.  A clever person might use a tripod & timer, then crop the picture to the person.  Or might employ a friend.  In fact, figuring our how to keep updated pictures at reasonable cost is more important to me than a costly Pro Shoot.

#1  Need not be fully nude but I want to see full body from 3-4 of angles because I want to know if she's appealing to me AND several pictures of obiviously the same person gives me confidence that they are really hers (not stolen off the internet).  Lessons learned!
#2  I want to see her breasts both with a bra or bikini top (ie supported) as well as topless...  at least 1 or 2.  A lot of sex appeal is breasts...  while I enjoy a large pair, I also see ladies who are smaller.
#3  I want to see her bottom half...  NO, not 100 butt pictures...  but thighs & front & rear.  Everything below the waist.   This does not mean that I necessarily want pussy shots.  I don't mind but it is not necessary to be totally explicit for me.
#4  Not too many.  Leave me wanting to see "more of you".   As picts are updated, take the oldest ones down...  or reduce the number.
#5  Blurred face is fine, so long as it is not to hide a hag or the wicked witch...  we all understand need for security.

Web site shots IMHO are not a free porn show...  rather a sales tool to tell me what my potential date's body really looks like.     Commumicate that to me & you've succeeded.   I click right back off sites which give tiny thumbs only or blurry cell picts or too few pictures.

The odd thing is pictures are what bring a guy in initially...  but what brings me back is performance.
I hope this helps,
skb

Pro photos are a nice thing to add, but I like good candids better.

IMO, please do not try to hide anything. It will only come out and bite you in your reviews. I'm not talking about tattoos (mention that you have them as some guys hate them), or a bit of this & that. I'm talking about hiding major body blemishes, etc.

Your current photos appear to be good representations of your body, which is a very important piece of the marketing. They aren't very exciting or interesting (i.e. glamorous), but rather they are pretty static in pose and energy. You want some photos (candids are OK) that show the kind of energy and life you bring to your sessions.

Not to be harsh or anything, but in the photos which you have posted you look like you can't wait to get out of there. Thats not exactly it, but they make me wonder (especially with no review history) what sort of personality will be there with me during our session, and these make me think of photos a plastic surgeon might take for before and after. I hope that makes sense. The presentation of the personality is the other important piece to bring.

I know that is hard to do when the head is chopped off. If possible, try to include your head/face and blur if necessary. The photos with the plaid skirt had potential, but I never got even a hint of a smile or facial expression that would tell me about you (are you fun, sassy, or whatever - just serious in these).

I hope this helps.

Maybe it's just me, but it really irks me to see photos that are obviously airbrushed to hide cellulite or whatever. I understand that photos make you look better when they're airbrushed like magazine pictures, but I think it also hides a lady's natural features. Most of us have some cellulite, and it's really not anything to be ashamed of (despite what those magazines try to tell us). It's usually pretty obvious when it's done- few really have flawless skin and I think it's a misrepresentation of a person.

I blur my tattoo for discretionary reasons. I once had a lady offer to totally cover the tattoo so it looked like I didn't have one instead of having a blur on my butt. I see no reason to hide the fact that I have a tattoo- it's not like the guys aren't going to see it when we meet. (And the same with cellulite and other features.)

where do you draw the line between slight cover-up and massive cover-up?

Personally, I think the feature used on many ladies photos to smooth out their skin makes them look worse.

-What kind of search can I do in my area for photographers who do semi-nude posing? Boudoir photographers?
Yes- do a search for your city + either boudoir or erotic photography. Once you gain access to the provider's board, you can ask around on there. You can also PM or email me for recommendations, along with a couple of popular guys to avoid.

-What is a good amount to spend on about 10 photographs or equal to that in time?
For a one-hour shoot with a high-quality photographer, expect to pay around $250-350 (depending of course on your location). They'll usually do 5-10 photos with editing, with that included in their fee, and then additional cost for extra editing. I'm pretty good in Photoshop, so I just ask for a CD with all of the photos they've taken, instead of only a few of the best ones. Occasionally this has cost a little extra, but well worth it, and you can always hire someone later on to do more editing if you want to put more photos up.

-Do you ever disclose why these photographs are being taken? What rights do you have to use them to techincally "make money"
I've shown photographers my website so they get a general idea of what I look like and what sort of look I am going for, and also to clue them in that I don't show my face on my website. So yes, they have a general idea of what I do, but you don't have to disclose this information if you don't want.

As for rights, you want to get full rights to your photos. I do not recommend TFP/CD (time for print or CD). You can use this to get free photos if they are looking for models to build their portfolio, but they can then use the same photos on their sites/portfolios/whatever. This might work if you show your face, but there are many reasons to maintain discretion in this profession and I personally don't recommend it. Be sure you clarify with your photographer that you want the rights to the photos, and also that you would prefer he not use them publicly. You are paying him for taking the photos and for ownership of them.

-Do you find working with a male of female photographer more comfortable?
I've only ever worked with male photographers. I highly recommend bringing someone with you to the photo shoot. There are some shady photographers out there. The last shoot I went to, I went alone. I told the photographer that I did not want porn-like shots. Half of my shots turned out to be pornish, and I was alone and uncomfortable to say anything there at the shoot. (I did let him know my feelings once I got home and checked out my photos better and I am happy to let you know in private who this was so you can avoid him.)

Your photos are nice, but I highly recommend a professional shoot. You'll get much better quality photos, which I believe show off your assets better. Either go with a shoot at a studio or rent a very upscale hotel room (check out the photos of the rooms online) and have the photographer come to you. I've never done the latter- I like studio shots.

Check out onemodelplace.com and modelmayhem.com. You can find some great photographers there. I've spent hours and hours looking for the perfect photographers- ones who have classy, high-quality photos up on their sites.

GENTLEMEN:
-Do you ever pass you women who do not have professional photography of them but do have GOOD shots of them? No. But I do look for photos that are done in good taste. It looking like they did it themselves but yet a nice job? If the job is good and in good taste, I'll bite. Does it make it seem more personal and less likely to be "photo shopped"? No.
-Do you like mostly nude photographs or semi-nude? Nude, semi-nude, clothed. DO you prefer to see a picture of her in nice clothes as well? Yes. A provider in a tasteful dress or slacks turn me on. In particular if she show a little of her figure but is not over the top.
-Will you pass up a provider if she does not show her nipples or vaginal area? Nipples yes. Vagina, not needed. Show me what your figure looks like from several angles. I don't need graphic photos and will bypass you if yours are graphic.
-Is her showing her face important? Show some face, at oblique angles. Good erotic photographers can take photos that get men hot while maintaining your privacy. Is it more effective to your senses for her to just blur out her face, or not show it at all(face away from the camera)  Don't blur you face for me. Show some face but in a way where you can't be identified, even by friends or family. Avoid having distinguishing marks photographed.

highheelbarbie,

Take tasteful photos (tease tease tease), don't show your face (for safety and security), and don't photoshop them (it's misleading).

I commend you for making the effort.  If I see one more pic of a chick taken with duck lips and a cell phone camera, I'm going to shoot my computer.

Are you saying my photos are photoshopped? honestly they are not. I only played with the contrast and brightness?

photos are nice but not a necessity depending on how good your homemade pics are.  From what I can tell, you are "not a spinner but with curves in the right places."  Your school girl outfit ads some variety to the mostly bikini pics.
