Just had a visit with a lady and noticed a tickle in my nose. Halfway through my visit I figured out why.  Kitty came into the room to check me out.   If I had known in advance I could have taken something to stop the effects. Any tips on how to politely ask if there are pets around so I can be ready in advanced?  This is going on my check list to ask about along with no heavy perfume please. I want to be able to focus on the lady in my company and not worrying about my nose running.

Also, is this an unreasonable request?  Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?
Thanks.

Many providers have cats or dogs. Some will mention it in their websites (or you will see the pets in their pictures) or in their communication with you. If you read her reviews, you will usually see it mentioned by other reviewers. For many hobbyists it doesn't matter. However some people can have severe, even life threatening allergies, so you are totally justified in asking.

....pets.  It is absolutely acceptable to ask a lady if she has pets, and to refrain from wearing perfume.  I would not be offended in the least.
