From Tori's perspective: Too much hair can be a turn-off, so a little manscaping is greatly appreciated especially when a lot of oral is on the menu. Remember we aren't cats and would appreciate staying clear of fur balls...lol If you do shave it all off or trim it way down, please make sure there isn't any course stubble because that can start to create some issues when we are intimate, especially for those of us who wax down there. Bottom line: just trim the forest back a little and thin it out for us.

This question comes up fairly frequently on TER. Responses from the ladies vary, but they tend to favor trimming back the bush if not shaving smooth. Some providers love smooth, especially the balls for floss-free BLS. Others don't mind some hair and don't like shaved if it leaves any stubble. Some guys who shave leave a "landing strip" above the penis to avoid that problem. (Many women do something similar.)
My advice is, if you shave smooth, get your technique down long before the date so there's no open cuts, and don't leave stubble. Search this board and the General Discussion, and maybe your local board if it's active, for threads on shaving for more opinions and tips.

Shaving is problematic because of stubble. However trimming to about half an inch eliminates the jungle look (this advice applies to the ladies too who don't choose to shave it.)
I use a mustache trimmer to quickly get a uniform trim.

If the shaving is done a few hours before the session, stubble is not an issue.
I've also been asked to leave a landing strip of trimmed hair (~1/2") so as not to have any irritation with her clitoris if she is into cowgirl.
Apply some aloe lotion to the skin after you dry the area. Don't forget where the sun don't shine also.

I say shave it all and you will be surprised how much the ladies will like it; this is my personal preference. I like my ladies to clean shaved to, they don't have completely shaved, and I do appreciate a landing strip which some have. My suggestion is we come for an experience so good ahead a give it a try.
