For sure you are wise to learn about the pros/cons of particular agencies.  It was wise to do your homework in that regard. However at the end of the day you will be in the company of a particular woman.  Be sure to check the reviews of the lady of your choice from the agency and put more weight into these findings. If her reviews are solid and consistent then feel confident that your session will go well.  

I've had great times with ladies from an agency that typically gets a decent amount of bad press on the boards.  I've also had several disappointing sessions with ladies from an agency that is mostly respected and has a business office of courteous and professional staff members.  The lady is the biggest part of the equation.  Good luck and enjoy...

I have had some fantastic sessions in them (also some ho-hum ones.)

I have an Asian ATF who I met at an AMP and whom  I see outside of her AMP now, but I would have to suggest that you stay away from them for now; the main reason being that LE has targeted them very intensely.  It's a combination of the present administration's anti-sex and anti-immigrant policies.

Even my AMP ATF tells me to stay way from them; and she should know.

Hopefully, under another administration, a million AMPS can bloom again.

but after many years in this hobby, I find the Indies to be much more attractive.

But I'd go the bdj route.  Lovely ladies, and a good reputation.

AMPs are fine, but for your first time, I suggest that you go with class.

If you have researched the agency and are comfortable with the reputation of both then the only deciding factor would be which provider you prefer.

Since many agencies now have their providers reviewed you cn get an idea of what a session with the provider will be like. It will also give you a better idea as to what you can expect.

Depending on the city, some AMP's don’t have the same type of information posted to review the providers….. remember to keep your priorities:

**First your safety and the security of your information and lifestyle (* which you can access by the posted information regarding the reputation*)
**Next decide from that who you are personally attracted to and that the provider will have the characteristic traits which you find appealing.

The bottom line is that the hobby an escape from your routine and should be enjoyable, try to make sure you aren’t overwhelming yourself with the logistics of safety and you end up arranging an encounter that you walk away from unsatisfied.

Thanks for the great advice both in this thread and the PMs that I received. In the end I'm definitely going to go with BDJ and see how that goes, and then perhaps begin looking for indies/AMPs after that (armed with the information that everyone has shared).

I am somewhat surprised a newbie would want to test an agency for a first time. Your best bet is with a well reviewed independent. You will have the greatest comfort level going into the meeting, and I'm guessing a better exerience coming out of it. I have been a hobbyist for several years and only see Indy's. If you MUST choose between the two, take the high end agency over an AMP.

. . . a pretty girl with good reviews here on TER that mention her making the gentleman feel comfortable and relaxed.  Don't go by the agency, go by the girl, whether she's an Independent or with an agency.

Oh yeah, and then relax and enjoy yourself, if you go by her reviews, she'll make you feel comfortable.
