So I am new to this game. How do I go about getting references if I don't have any?
Are there some providers that will see me with say just a p411 reference?

Many providers on P411 are  newbie friendly.  Look for them, and look for newbie-friendly providers everywhere.  They usually use lighter screening.  You could join DateCheck also for more verification.  This topic has been asked about all the time.  Look down a few threads, maybe the next page for some more answers to this question.

regarding references.  You'll see some that say "Newbie Friendly," but the key is the part that says "Basic" or "Basic Plus One," or "Basic Plus Two."  These translate to Basic=no references needed; Basic Plus One=one reference needed; and Basic Plus Two=two references needed.
