why do some providers only do outcalls?

I'm getting my feet wet in the hobby and follow a lot of what is often stated here and the info has served me well... thank you to all the guys out there that post reviews, I'm definitely doing my part to post reviews and seriously ask you guys that don't to start!

Back to my question, I've found a few TER reviewed ladies in my area that I would like to spend some time with, but they only do outcalls which doesn't work for me. All the encounters I've had have been at upscale, incall, usually 4 star hotels. I feel a lot safer in a national upscale hotel, and would think the risk factor would also be a hell of a lot less for the lady. I wouldn't think a lot of drama would get very far on the 18th floor of a well respected hotel incall location.

I understand the cost of the room part, but even with one client, the cost is covered and then some... and wouldn't it be a lot more comfortable and easier for the lady to relax during her down time between encounters? Only a trip down the elevator to Starbucks or a restaurant, etc.

What am I missing here folks?

Yes, with one client, the cost of the room is covered... and that's about it. "And then some" usually amounts to no more than $50-100. Those of us that offer incalls at hotels, usually don't have a problem with it, a long as the guy books 2 or more hours.. otherwise, it really just doesn't balance out. You could always book a room yourself, and then the outcall provider would come to you.. or I've also heard of scenarios where you could ask the lady if she would get the room and you would either give her the money up front for the room, or reimburse her for the room(plus the cost of the appointment)

Exactly...I get that a lot. I don't do outcalls for shorter sessions because the cost/benefit just isn't there. But then I often have gents who will suggest that I secure the venue, tell them the cost, and they add it to my rate to cover the charges. Works well if you can trust one another (as much as possible in the hobby).

Some women only provide outcall because they do not have day time availability, when most men are interested in meeting. While it may make sense to you from a profit margin stand point I would not rent a hotel room for less then a 4hour booking, when I was outcall only. (example $300hr -$150 hotel, -$15 parking, -$5 maid service, -$5 gas to get to hotel = $125)

Then the upscale hotel incall provider is out the cost of the room and rightfully pissed off.

So you get a room and have her come to you. Then when she doesn't show up, you're the one fucked. Maybe you can get a last minute replacement, but that would be tough for a provider to do.

In Denver, most of my gentleman friends are in town for business and already have a 4+star hotel booked for work purposes.  What sense would it make for me to offer an incall when his company has already covered the cost of his room?  Then to expect him to hire a car to drive around a town he isn't familiar with to try to find an incall?  Just doesn't make sense.

The handful of local gents I see are mainly single or retired so my coming to their home works beautifully.  For the locals who have SO's, I'm willing to secure accommodations as a passthrough expense, but only after sufficient trust has been established between us that a NCNS/cancellation would that require an "Act of God" occur.

When I'm in NYC, Vegas or where ever.... I am fine with an incall situation as I've already a room for myself and I generally am in town only to see a particular gent for the entire evening anyway.

I suppose if I were a higher volume lady with a stable of local, attached SO's then an incall might make sense....  or if I "toured" in the traditional sense....  But for how I operate, it simply doesn't.

it is not always safe for a lady to offer incall at her residence; neighbors talk.  The same reason a guy with a SO wouldn't have the lady do outcall to his home.
