with all this talk of hobbie phones I have been wondering is there any danger ussing the room phone in the hotel?

Then by all means use the hotel phone.

Most hotels list every phone call on the bill.  I would never use a hotel phone at all anymore.   Much too expensive...

Dont use them -

Also  - In big major metro cities.. especially LV- many hotels have a list of adult entertainer numbers that are on the block list through hotel switchboard ..

Between this and the hotel post on the GD Board, I think I'd need another partner in crime.  LOL

There is really no reason to. Most hotel phones are way too expensive to bother with if you have a cell phone.  I did have one lady who verified me by calling my hotel and asking for my room by my name. When I picked up she then knew that I was giving her the same name that was on my DL and came on over.

So she was already suspicious, why else would she open your mail AND dial the numbers, before confronting you?

A letter from a hotel, at least in my house, is assumed to be junk mail, and probably get tossed without opening.

When I started, I didn't have a clue...  but I was lucky.  Luck is not to be counted on.  I promised myself I'd not do anything stupid...  and my list of stupid things rapidly expanded thanks to all the great help here on TER.

In my short career thus far I've learned several things about self preservation:

1. Hobby phone
1a. Password on the phone
2. Hobby cash credit card
3. Password protect computer
3a. auto erase the history, cache, saved passwords
3b. Never use your work computer for anything hobby related
4. Never force something to happen i.e. don't do anything out of character you will just have questions to answer and more opportunities to get tripped up.

Have fun!

And its really YOURSELVES you have to worry over -
Men leaving directions in gym bags-
leaving numbers in cells -
sitting on cell phones and calling the wife-

Kills me -
and you are all so worried about us -
My eyes are already rolled back into my head-
So i cant roll them anymore

Oh yes Ciara you are absolutely right about us. In the words of Walt Kelly back on earth day 1970 says: "We have met the enemy, and he is  us!"

I'm not worried about you gals, you certainly can take care of yourselves.

BTW, love your web page. The text is a little small for my eyes though.

sounds to me like hes trying to round up a posse to help him rob the bank, and he just ruled you out as a potential accomplice. Oh well.

I use cash for tolls, gas, snacks, bank w/d (location or amount), anything which is outside of my normal traffic pattern.

I gradually increased my pocket money from normal deposits (inflation) & accumulated my play money...  NO dedicated withdrawals!

Guys have been busted (by SO) by Easy Pass.  Admittedly SO must have been looking but lets not leave a confirmation trail behind us!
