Oral Concersregular_smile

I am to have my first encounter tomorrow night and I am very anxious to spend time with enjoy the provider experience.  I am most interested in giving oral but have concerns about the risk I might be taking.  I could use a condom when receving oral but how risky is giving oral?  Is there any form of protection other than abstaining?  Hope not!

Thanks for any advice or help.

If you are willing to drive, despite the risk, then I think the risk from oral sex should be acceptable. Just my 2c.

See these past three recent threads for a pretty complete discussion of risks/rewards:

There are a long list of pathogens that could theoretically be transmitted via oral sex but there are sound reasons why the vast majority of providers/clients who are smart and know what they're doing practice oral sex (giving and receiving) safely.  Nothing is perfectly 100% risk free but the risk of oral sex if you take a couple precautions is way down at the lower end of the spectrum from obviously unsafe practices like BBFS.

Two tips and they are frequently stressed by experienced providers that contribute here regularly are:

When to brush teeth before
Not practicing oral sex if there are actual lesions on skin/oral mucosa that will make contact

If you brush your teeth and gums prior, do it as early as two hours before so that you don't create micro-cuts/lesions in the mouth.  Obviously to avoid risk both partners should be disease free on any skin/oral mucosa that makes contact.  Theoretically some antiseptic mouth washes/sprays could break down the oral mucosa and up the risk, but the literature is mixed on the actual percent this would happen, and that would be extremely low.  Many providers have mouth washes readily available, and many clients use them and you don't hear or see reports of adverse impact of these.
