In my opinion seeing customers in your home is a bad idea.  Others will disagree but I generally don't see girls who operate in what I consider to be a high-risk environment.

As far as what is better, well, only you can make that decision.  I have a regular lady who only does out calls and my ATF is almost exclusively in call.  How well you screen and the precautions you take are, in my opinion, much more important than the venue.

When I am seeing someone locally, I prefer an incall arrangement if only for the fact that I can avoid having to rent a hotel room and avoid that cost.  On the other hand, I would want the gal's incall to be a hotel as seeing someone at their apartment can be a bit risky depending on your relationship with your neigbors and how high volume you are.

On the other hand, when I'm visiting another city on business, I prefer to have outcall and avoid having to travel around a strange city.

So, I guess it depends on the market you are trying to develop.  

Heed well the warnings about using your apartment.

In some areas incalls are more popular and make more sense. In some areas (tourist areas) outcalls are more popular, and in some, it's about equal. If you are in Vegas (making an assumption by your name) because it is a high tourist area, most providers are outcall oriented. Most of your cluents will be visitors and you would see them at their hotels. If you do see locals, you can decide after thorough screening if you feel safe seeing them at their homes or if you prefer seeing them only in hotels also. Hotels are cheap in Vegas so locals should not have a problem getting a room for outcall.

If you are in another cuty where incalls are mire popular, you still should nit do incall out of your home. I agree with Bostonguy on that. Even after screening your client is still a stranger and are you comfortable letting a stranger in your house? While some ladies do entertain out of their homes, most have a seperate incall location. Possibly a hotel room (change hotels. Don't use the same one evertime, or for too long) or a rented condo or something. Sometimes some ladies get together to share an incall.

Glad to see you are asking good questions here rather than just jumping in. The newbie board is a good place to learn. I would recommend you read the self help guide (found at the top of the page by the life preserver). Also read back a bunch if pages as many question come up over and over, so you can gain a lot of info just by reading.

You might want to also purchase VIP even if just for a month so you can read reviews and use some of the search features of the site. Once you take the plunge, get a website, place an ad, and join some discussions on the regional or general boards so TER folks get to know you.

For reasons I will not go into here, I can only do incall.  I have done them at private houses, apartments, and of course, hotel rooms.  I have had no problems with any of them thus far.  If it's a large apartment complex with lots of traffic, unless the provider has some nosy neighbors close by, that should not be much of a problem.  Private homes, can be trouble, for same reason, nosy neighbors.

Even if I could do outcalls, I prefer for the provider to be comfortable in her own surroundings, be it apt, house, or hotel room, and would probably do mostly incall appts.  As has also been said before, clients should not do outcalls in their own home until they have seen the provider a few times.  A couple reasons for this, one, if you don't click, you now have a stranger that you didn't get along with who knows where you live, which may not be a good thing.  Secondly, if she has a driver, that makes two people that know where you live.  The provider also knows the layout of your house or apt.

Bottom line is, the choice is yours.  If you choose to use a hotel, you now have to pick the place and secure the room.  Hopefully, if you go this route, you will be able to recoup your room cost, and not lose money on it.

You've heard from some of the best on this so I add my input as a minor contribution.  I'm reasonably inexperienced, only 5 providers so far.  But I've done incall and outcall both with mixed results.  My ATF, who's retires (alas) had a great incall in a small apartment.  She clearly was set up for visitors with a massage room and a clean well-stocked bathroom.  But I also visited a very well reviewed provider at her incall and it was a mess.  The bathroom was a disaster and the place was in shambles.  It really threw a monkey wrench into the experience, in a very real way, kind of a waste of time and resources.  So it seems that if you want to do incall you have to think about it carefully and be prepared for hosting gentlemen.  It can be a bit unsettling, had to hang around the negative incall with workmen checking me out.  Uncomefortable.  I haven't done an incall at a hotel, may have one coming up this weekend, could be in or out, and I'm looking forward to it.  My outcall experiences also ran hot and cold, more related to the lady in question than logistics.  But that one, too, was uncomefortable because she wanted a smoke before coming up and was having sucuuh a good time flirting with the parking attendants I had to go down and escort her up....just the begining of another bad experience.

you'll find that most providers do outcall only. Most, not all,  of the clients in Vegas are there for business, many do not rent cars or care to take a cab to a ladies incall. It's just more convenient for tourists to do outcall.
