Im an HHH (Hesitant-Hobbyist-Hopeful) who lacks balls to dive in and begin this great experience because I am scared to get busted. Now I see this great Ha Ha posted in the forum and on top of the book cover it states " Never Get Busted!". Oh man, I'm floating in my own paranoid juices now! I've read TER from cover to cover and I am waiting for my VIP to begin soon. There are some additional questions I have not seen here that I would like to pose.

1) After a successful session, is it improper etiquette to ask a provider for references of other providers she may know of in the area? My reason is to stay inside a protected circle once in.

2) What are the basics for the Newbie to know so that he does not get caught by the LE ( Thats my first real hobbyist acronym ever used, Oh man I'm scared yet excited ).

I have a LOT to loose. But boy I just about creamed my pants with excitement and guilt just writing this post. Thank goodness this is a flameless noob forum (Whew). Added pointers would be highly appreciated.

Grow some balls and you will have a great time.  I am very new to the hobby, only about 6 months.  Took me at least that long to decide to take the plunge.  Like most in the hobby we all have a lot to lose but we do it anyway, get a VIP, see only well reviewed girls and the chances to have LE experience goes way down, but then again nothing is for sure.  As for getting a reference you will have to ask the more experienced I tend to stay with just two and really don't see anyone else... good luck

This is advice you probably already know if you've gleaned the boards, but to answer you:

1. Asking for a referral is probably not the best idea immediately following a session.  May be ok in a followup/thankyou email later on.

2. Selecting a well-reviewed lady (5+ reviews) will practically eliminate the LE risk. Also the reviewers themselves should have more than 1 review to their credit.

Humps advise is good.

If you want learn additional things about ladies of a region.  Use the regional boards some ladies participate by posting regularly and not just by posting ads.  Will give you some idea of what they might be like.  This might help you expand the selection of "safe" ladies you might be interested in.

The advice by all is great! I am one month into this! I joined TER beginning of the August and did lots of research! I am glad I did! I found girls I thought I might want to go with on EROS and CityVibe and then actually found their reviews on TER - these would have been disaster for me - very bad reviews and one guy even wrote he was scared! So I did my research and found a lady for FBSM (nude massage with hand job) - she had lots of reviews and even click on the reviewers as well! So I started here and while hestitate at first - I thought this was great! Now to the next level - looking for a GFE and again - I found ladies with multiple listing and checked the reviewers as well to see what other reviews they listed! So I found one and the day came I thought - what if I get arrested - what if - what if! Well we deal with a lot of what if - but as it was mentioned above - find ladies in your listed with multiple reviews - make sure they aren't more than a few months old and look at the reviewer! By the way - I found one reviewer who has seen a number of girls in the area so I put them in my favorites for future reference! Soory this is long - but I was like you and if you stick to the advice and follow the path - you will soon be in Nirvana! It was awesome!

is to have her bring a friend to the next meeting.  That can be a LOT of fun, and you have a 2nd name and reference.

...this was flameless? ;-)

Your post isn't worthy of being flamed, hence I won't flame it.  However, if you post something beyond stupid or insulting (even if indirectly or unintentional), then don't expect the name "Newbie Board" to guarantee any kind of protection.  As with any kind of post, you should check it before submitting so as to NOT waste the time of the readers who click on it.

Good luck hobbying.

ps.......I would email your provider a few days after your session to ask for a reference.

a VIP membership and only seeing well reviewed ladies (minimum 5 or 6 reviews by well established reviewers).  Don't go near CL!

You have already received many good points.  The one other thing you have already done to avoid LE is visiting this site - become a VIP.  That is critical.

Couple of other suggestions:

1)  Avoid craigslist
2)  Go to your regional board and get a sense if your area is currently a hot spot for LE (example: Atlanta)
3)  While anything is possible, I have been told by providers who know vice that hobbying from a residence is a bit more difficult to set up than a hotel
4)  Traveling providers are nice, but many times they are high volume.  It gives me the heebie jeebies to see them unless you really know the turf.  I would avoid until you have lost your training wheels.
5)  Leave your wallet and personal effects in your car when you take the plunge and never loose sight of your clothes once off.

Take the plunge!
