The best way is to enroll at a verification site like P411, DateCheck or RS2000.  All are good.  I started with P411 because they had an 800# to call so I could work with them to meet their requirements.  In my case I did not want a call to my work # (because I don't have one), which is standard.  They came up with some alternatives.  But be prepared for them to ask for things like a photocopy of your license (you can black out certain info) or a phone bill (same deal).
Understand that many providers want more than just a P411 or DateCheck listing.  But on P411 you can find providers who list themselves as "Newbie Friendly."  After you've seen one, you can ask for her "OK" on the site.  That will open you up to more girls; those who list as "Basic Plus One." Then you're off.  Good luck!
