If your definition of 'superficial' is emphasis on physical attributes, then guys tend to be way more superficial than women. Most guys don't care how smart or rich or funny a woman is. If she's ugly, he won't bang her. If she's hot, he doesn't care what's going on between her ears. Women, on the other hand, will often be attracted to a less-than-physically-perfect guy who makes up for it in intelligence, wealth, or humor.

If read any of that PUA stuff the message they all have is "have hight standards". When you don't want then if you are otherwise decent guy your might actually get pretty hot girls.
