Ok, so here's the deal.  I live in rural America and would NEVER see a local provider - if there is a local provider.  So, when I have an occasion to visit a metropolitan area, I try to take advantage of that opportunity to get my "hobby fix".

I will soon be visiting a small metropolitan city (@150,000 population) and contacted a provider that I had seen before.  Unfortunately, she is not available the day I will be there.  So, I try to do a TER search, but it is difficult to find many providers in that small city to choose from.

So, here is the question for some of you ladies.  Is it OK to ask the provider who is not available if she could suggest someone for me to visit that day?

2nd question.  I was going to search the discussion boards, as I suspect this question has been asked before, but couldn't figure out how to search.  Advice appreciated.  TIA

recommend one of their friends to me, and all has worked out nicely. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

Have you tried doing your provider search by area code only? Just type in the area code in the proper field, and leave all other fields blank.

To search for a topic on the boards, go to the top of the page, and click on search messages. You can type in key words, and go back as far as you'd like by changing the 30 in the "days" field.

for a referral. If I get a request for a day that I am not available, I usually refer them to another lady that I know. Keep in mind, you still need to do your homework, check reviews and do your homework to see if you will be compatible with that lady.

I enjoy referring gentlemen to ladies I know provide a high-quality experience. And since none of them are identical to me in terms of physical characteristics or personality, I never feel "threatened" by referrals. In fact, I think it's flattering that he respects my opinion enough to ask!

Part One:
I think that more mature providers would feel confident, not threatened and willing to give you a referral.
I think they may have a better understanding of what the business/networking aspects of the subject are and the importance of what it means to everyone involved, sending (potential) clients to another reputable provider, as apposed to having the scarcity mind set.
I personally would refer two well reviewed providers, in the drop of a hat...should I not be available.
That is good customer service.

Part Two:
Since there has been much "Alias" talk recently on the boards, why not use an alias and actually announce the city you will be visiting and there might be someone whose eye you catch.
You might be pleasantly surprised at who responds.
It can't hurt to ask.
You make the final decision in the end, right?
B :)

There's a search message button near the top of the page. Let's you search different works and timeframes
