manypoppins,
I need advice. I want to use an escort service for companionship and lunch.  They want to verify my identity by asking my first last name and verifying my employment.  Is this a normal thing? I'm a little hesitant in giving my info out.  How do I know this is a legit escort service?

Sounds pretty standard to me if you are a newbie. As an independent provider, that is where my comfort/safety level is for verifying new gentleman, and seems to be the norm for lots of ladies. As for agencies (and independents), some of them will verify you without that info if you join a service such as RS2K (room service 2000) or Preferred 411. But those services will screen you with your verifiable employment info and possibly some other things if necessary. It's a one time thing versus having to do it every time you switch agencies or independent ladies. Does the service have reviews anywhere? If the provider you are giving the info to is legit, they will ONLY use the info for verification and then discard of it once you are verified. Hope this helps and good luck!

It's not unusual.

You will have to judge your level of comfort with this (employment check). Make sure you have a cover story for this such as a contractor verifying your employment for an informal check before doing some work.

Depending on the service and the company, they may only call you at your desk, which works out well.

the reviews of the lady you are interested in seeing.

For what you are looking for reviews might not really tell what you need to know.

Will you get along, click?

There's no score for that.

But I made sure to do my homework and picked well reviewed ladies that seemed intelligent and emphasized that they were very discreet and didn't keep information. I can't control what they do with the information, but I at least tried to get the odds in my favor.

After I had seen my two first providers I joined Preferred411, and both providers vouched for me. Since then all I've had to do is request appointments through Preferred411, and I haven't had to give out any personal information. If you're in Texas as your handle implies, you should join Preferred411. It seems to be the most widely used verification service in Texas.

Doesn't seem too out of the ordinary. I've yet to have to do it but I've seen it posted on the sites for several reputable agencies I've checked out.

I did have to do it for Date-check but it was a breeze and has been very handy for a few ladies.

As was mentioned above, do your research and check out the agency's rep before making your decision.
