I hear and understand the concern of Us vs LE, but
what if someone who is LE or an affilliate (sp?) of, wants to be a hobbyist as well, would/should their jobs prevent them from enjoying the fruits of the hobby?

What are your thoughts?

What makes you think that LE and associates of LE don't hobby?  Technically, they should not, but come on...  Show me a "clean" cop and I'll show you a rookie.  That won't necessarily stop them from busting YOU or a provider if the job calls for it.

I was once at an agency when it was being busted.  The cop took my driver's license and "ran a check" [yeah, right].  After a few minutes, I was "cleared" and allowed to leave.   It wasn't reported in the news, so I'm guessing it was a shakedown although I'm not sure what the purpose was.

LE and the hobby have a contradictory relationship.

who told me about a session where the guy walked into the room, pulled out his badge and said "Yes I'm a cop, but I'm not vice, and I'm not here to cause you any problems."
According to her, after her heartbeat returned to normal it was a great session.
