but the less screening and the higher her is volume the more likely a NCNS. If I can't reach her to confirm at the agreed upon time I wont leave home before I do hear from her because the chances of a NCNS go way up.
Last night I made an appointment with a provider for 11 AM this morning. She suggested the meeting time and confirmed it was available. I was asked to call between 8-9 AM to confirm.
8:15 AM - I call to confirm and leave a message stating as much.
9:45 AM - Call again and reaffirm my confirmation. Let her know I've got to leave by 10:15 to make it to the incall with a safety buffer. Ask her to call back to inform me of cross streets, etc.
10:45 AM - Call from a parking lot close to location and inform her I'm close by and will be waiting until 11:15, at which point I will head home.
11:15 - Made the phone call to let her know I'd be heading home, that I hoped everything was alright and to please call me to set up another appointment.
As of an hour later I've still heard nothing. I can only blame my little head for talking me into the car and driving over to where I discerned the cross streets may be. Her voice, her ad writing, her voice; it all conspired against my common sense to stay put.
But I'm curious to know. Is it common to book an appointment, make a confirmation call and then never get a call back?
She may have gotten a better deal from a regular client, and many providers give them preference. Suggest you post this on your local regional board and let them know they can PM you for her name. That's what I did when it happened to me last year, it's about the only recourse you have. If you out her in public, be prepared for a shitstorm from the provider.
Thanks for the info. I was surprised, she's got 20 pages of glowing reviews. Live and learn.

but if she has as many glowing reviews as you say, Swim is absolutely correct. As a newbie she will have an entire legion of her White Knights descend upon you blaming you for the whole thing.
It still deserves to be reported, but like anything else on the internet, credibility is paramount, and as a newbie her word and the words of her white knights will drown out the truth and you may find yourself a pariah on your local board before you have even had a chance to get know.
Yes, it sucks, but it is a reality. and NCNS like you describe happens a lot more often, (and on both sides) than any of us would care for it to happen, but until TER creates a separate category, or special place to report it, there isn't much else over and above what you have already to combat it.
I know this from experience. It's only after I reported the NCNS on my local board that I found out that the provider was notorious for NCNS behavior. Yes... live and learn.

Confirmed my meeting for tonight on Friday evening. Got word back from her that she would send location on Sunday AM (today). Haven't gotten anything back from her. Emailed an hour ago, still nothing. Meeting is now 2 hours away and I have a 45 minute drive to get there. Feeling like this is leading to NCNS.
