I meet many touring ladies who visit New York, so I'll offer a few thoughts on an interesting question.

Why tour? Different reasons. Some ladies live in a small town, where a small potential client base and a lack of anonymity would make working only near home impractical. Some ladies enjoy travel for its own sake, enjoy being in a different place each week - they use touring as a way of earning while seeing the country. Temperment plays a big role - just as some men are tempermentally suited to careers as "road warriors" while some are not, so too ladies in this business.

There are some ladies who have built a "name for themselves" in a number of cities that they visit regularly. Moreover, touring frequently or even exclusively does not preclude building a regular client base - there are at least a dozen ladies that I see regularly, every time (or nearly every time) that they pass through NYC.

I guess the bottom line is - to each her own.

Ladies, (hold on guys, I've got a question for you also...)

Ladies,
how do you go about getting deposits so that you aren't wasting your time and money when you want to tour another city/state or out of the USA?

I've burned a HUGE HOLE in my bank account by touring without having "solid" advance requests for my time. Sometimes to the point of NOT HAVING ANY CLIENTS! :(

Gentlemen,
What is the preferred method of payment for deposits when booking time with a visiting lady?

I would be amazed if ANYONE would pay a deposit to an unknown visitor in advance.  If you can get one, good for you.

when booking 8+ hour sessions, or when traveling with a gentleman.  I know many ladies use PayPal as a means to collect this.

ONLY use this if you have it secured in an account and email which cannot be traced back to your adult site.

Some ladies use pre-paid credit cards which can be charged up by the gents.

Good luck!  They are tough to get though I won't travel out of the NW without them anymore due to similar experience as yours.  You will find that the gents who DO prepays are wonderful fellows who respect your time and SHOW UP.  Make sure you have a clearly stated cancellation policy for refunds when and if they are available.

And dont talk about what you do not know Mr Silk..many girls travel on deposits. It exists and works very well with many of us.

I had just seen some ladies mention Paypal.

I'll file the deposit for tourists away for future referance.  I guess money paid in advance would help secure a certain time with a certain lady.

While I'm sure you're right that deposits work well for many and maybe Mr. Silk doesn't know much, I think he was merely trying to point out that MOST men won't even CONSIDER paying a deposit.  On this point he is certainly correct.

I, for one, would NEVER pay a deposit.  I have heard of cases where the deposit was taken and that was it.

I see your point, Ciara.  However, most guys would frown on giving a deposit.

Many touring national providers * myself included*
We never have a problem.( and i dont mean only girls that choose TER for their soul advertising) I know I surely do not in have a problem in any city or any board getting deposits for where I travel.

We are successful in any city we go to and never cry and moan about no shows or cancellations, simply because, they dont happen.

50% that frown, 50% turn their frown upside down too.

As in any business, many run them differently. Of course there are certain cities I dont have to ask for a deposit in, simply because cancellations and no shows arent their style.

I have never paid a deposit and would be VERY reluctant to do so, but in your case, it wouldn't be a problem of trust.  From what I've seen of you on the boards, you are a woman of integrity with a good reputation.  Someone with a good rep has incentive to maintain that rep.

but I absolutely the hate the uncertainty of seeing a woman of quality until she tells me, okay here is the address and here is the time.  I can see situations in which I may pay a tourist, or when I'm touring, and even locals, to ensure that I will see a certain lady at a certain time.

one consideration is to review what you are really looking to accomplish and make an adjustment....I have enjoyed the company of several distant friends and agreed to pay for thier round trip flights to get them to me for several days of accompaniement on business trips....that alone tells them you are serious....no paypal, just electronic tickets that can't be frozen...

So, the notion here is not going to do the typical 5 to 6 client incall in a strange city....set yourself up with a true Courtesan business and cater to the right clientele....you don't get stiffed by no shows and you get wined and dined at a high level....I would always make the arrangements this way and the envelope was on the passenger seat when I opened the door for her at the airport....no muss and no fuss

Why not make a name for yourself in your home state/city?  I can't imagine living out of my suitcase and being in strange hotel rooms night after night. Why subject yourself to having to constantly meet new men, the stress of wondering if they will cancel, losing money when you could meet regular clients closer to home?

I'm very curious about this.

Here in Phoenix, it boils, and I do literally mean boils down to one word, temperature!!!  Phoenix probably has one of the greatest provider/client ratios of anywhere in the country.  However, much of the busisness that our ladies receive is based on tourists and conventions.  Unfortunately because of the heat nobody visits Phoenix between May and September, causing our lovely ladies to tend to roam to cooler and/or coastal locales in the summer, simply to make money. I'm sure this is the same for ladies based in cold winter locations.

For the lady who likes to travel, these trips may be a paid, semi-vacation.
