it could reflect badly on me? This may have been addressed before on this board but I may have missed the thread (If so would someone please be so kind as to direct me to the link?) I have a hobbiest that I have set a day and time with (today) and he has gone MIA. No return of confirmation emails etc.  I have had 2 hobbiests that have cancelled due to good reason on short notice and rescheduled no problem but this one just has me uneasy. If he is a NCNS could that reflect badly on me in some way? Silly question but I am ok with asking the silly questions as well as the biggies...

Btw, I am a newbie as of January and find this board so very helpful, thank you all in advance for your answers.

its a reflection on him as a "time waster". There are many of his kind out there and you will figure it out more with experience. Unfortunately some guys get off to just getting you to reply and email back and forth with them with no intention of showing up for an appointment. They can't make that final step into the hobby.

It has nothing to do with you and just wipe that out of your thinking. Do your research also. Find out if they have reviews, go to the blacklist sites and see if he comes up. That is one of the reasons we have them where we can see if this is his pattern.

Thank you all very much for your kind help. I will follow up with the board if something negative comes from this.

From the client's perspective, I would not see a circumstance in which a NCNS client would look bad on you.  If for some reason this thoughtless fellow tried to blame you in a review or a post (very unlikely) you would have to deal with it but the management of this Board has lots of experience in deleting false reviews and bogus posts.

no one will blame you for it.  It's all on his shoulders, he's the one that disappeared, not you.  The possibility exists that something catastrophic happened to him, which unfortunately, you have on way of knowing.  He might have a very reasonable excuse for what happened.  You won't know it unless he contacts you.  For right now, just move on, put it out of your mind and enjoy the clients that come to see you.

It is a known fact that NCNS does happen on both sides of the fence.  Hopefully, it won't happen to you again any time soon.  Just know that you are not alone.  There are countless providers out there that have had this happen to them as well as guys who have had it happen to them, I'm one of those, so I know the feeling.

Just move on, if he contacts you with an explanation, fine.  If not, chalk it up to experience.  I'm glad you are enjoying this forum, we are here to help everyone.  If you ever have a question that you don't want to ask in public, feel free to PM me, as I am the host of this board and will be glad to answer your questions.
