post on one of Fuzzy's boards, then ask him to unmoderate you. Unless you have the personality of an ax murderer he will unmoderate you.

Maybe.  It took three years to become un-moderated for me.  In that span, I was able to hobby successfully, and because I picked my first lady correctly, I was able to overcome the boundaries that moderation imposes.  Now that I have had the gag removed, the hobby has opened up.

Dude, three years?  No offense but there had to be a reason for that. I was un-moderated within a few weeks of joining the Boston board five or six years ago.

I do agree however that you can use this site and hobby very successfully while still being moderated on the boards.

and post often to one of Fuzzy's boards..He's more open than some of the moderators and likes to have fun. If you are a little off color it won't bother him as much. He likes the shock factor himself ;-)

I like reading different styles of posts myself and hope you will stick around and join in the fun..

Kisses Haley

Actually there are 2 things you can do to speed up the process. I think proper protocall is to post on your local regional board for awhile and ask the Mod there to unmoderate you. Once you are unmoderated your posts will appear instantly. Of course be careful not to make errors like I just did cause you cannot go back and correct them.                                             In lieu of that your 2nd option would be to just ask the Mod. here to go on 24 hour alert so he can approve your posts in a more timely fashion. LMAO!

Except that the NY moderator at the time had a policy that kept most under a tight leash.  Asking him to un-moderate would have been a mistake...he posted on a number of occasions that that was a good way to stay moderated indefinitely.  So I just lurked, and hobbyed in anonymity.  Being moderated and not seeing posts go up in real time was discouraging to the point of just saying, why bother?

But that was two years ago, not an issue any longer.
