Newbie, first date tomorrow, scared shitless. Well reviewed provider is visiting my city for one week, staying at upscale hotel.  (1) If if if LE flipped her and they are doing a sting, how likely do you think that the sting would still be going on during the fifth day of her visit? (2) If a sting did last more than one day, is it likely that word would get out on this forum?  Grateful for any advice, thanks.

the odds of any kind of LE problem are astronomically low.  

You say "well-reviewed", but what do you mean by that? Well-reviewed usually means that she has a fair number of reviews (many suggest 10 reviews) and that the reviews have been done by hobbyists with 10 or more reviews themselves. Usually, it also means the reviews are generally positive - read the details, not just the general info.  

BP and Agencies are more attractive targets for LE than a lone independent. As a newbie, it is best to stick with well-reviewed (see above) indies.  

IMO, the odds of a respected indy being "flipped" are very, very low. The odds of a sting with the same gal being run for many days on end are also very low.  

Life isn't without risk, but you can minimize it.

Just calm down and take ten deep breathe,, really do it before you go any further. No I am not being a smart ass. Now lets do a little math. For a sting to work it takes a lot of resources, room, bait, electronics maybe, 2 or 3 for the arrest, 2 to ten or more for processing. Do you see where this is going. An 8 hour sting could go into the thousands of dollars. For that money the public gets a few men charged with a relatively minor crime. Not a good return on investment, unless there is a change in behavior. To get maximum use of tax dollars, a quick sting, big news coverage, Johns get scared and Hookers move away, good return on investment.

Having said all of that, there is no sure thing. But a WEEK LONG sting for solicitation, not very likely.

Try and relax, and have fun. There is good information on this site, and many of the newbie friendly ladies have a link to newbie FAQ's.  
Please relax and enjoy it. The jitters and worry are normal for us newbies, but if you just can not complete the date, be a gentleman and cancel, not just fail to show up.

Agencies are a target for LE?  Dont agency girls travel or switch around a bit too? Also with screening etc.would the LE actually follow agency girls around to figure out place and times etc or just raid the agency itself?

Thanks, you seem to have answered Q#1, i.e. stings not expected to last several days. How about Q#2, if a well known provider is used as bait for a sting, is that info likely to hit this forum? Or are poor guys that got stung intimidated into not making even anonymous reports

Your cell phone is part of your home and requires a separate, specific search warrant. I have only been active on the boards six months but I have seen stings show up un BP within a few min of the first perp walk. Just relax and keep your ears open.

Just be sure to protect yourself when you get there.  Do what you've read on other sites.  Place the donation on the desk or table then say something like "can I use the bathroom to wash my hands"  That protects you because you didnt give her money for anything.  See how that works?  At that point if SWAT shows up, not likely, you've done nothing wrong and they cant touch you.  Its also quite possible for her to straight up ask you "are you law enforcement?"  Just say no and she'll most likely say "nor am I"  Its ok to be nervous Ive had 3 dates and my first was nerve wracking and actually ruined the date for me.  Once the clothes come off and you touch her, its go time my friend!  Good luck!

For purposes of answering your question, I will presume the lady was busted and flipped. I make no representations as to the reasonableness of that assumption for the lady in question.

The unstated assumption is: When was the lady busted and flipped?

If LE doesn't get to her until Day 5, then there is a high likelihood the sting is still going on when you arrive on day 5.

If they bust her on Day 1, then the likelihood of continuing the sting on Day 5 depends upon how successful the sting is going. If they bust 30 guys a day, then they will keep it up a long time. If they bust 1 guy on Day 4, then they will call it a day and go back to the doughnut shop.

It all depends upon the lady/johns. If your area has an active board and it happens to one of the guys on the board, then news will leak out.  If your area does not have an active board, or you are the only guy from the board that books with the lady, then how will the info leak out?

I read the news about the supreme court decision but I don't see how that would be particularly helpful to anyone busted in a sting.  Would seem certain that if they bust you in a sting they could make a quick phone call to judge and get the warrant.

if there's a sting going on, you'll be arrested. The fallacy that you didn't say anything or didn't hand her the money will NOT protect you whatsoever. Remember LE is there to arrest you, and that's exactly what they'll do,  it's the DA who sorts it all out afterwards and decides whether to prosecute.  However, by then, you'll have spent thousands hiring an attorney and been in the public eye.  

I may be wrong but i think most agencies are just someone with a cellphone.  I'm pretty sure you won't just walk in off the street to see them in an office.

   HH is correct when he tells you that it will cost you thousands to be represented.  I believe the minimum retainer agreement in DC is 10K, if you want one of the best.

A difference of opinion is good for newbies to hear, so they can listen to both sides of an argument and then can make a more informed choice on how they wish to pursue the hobby.

But as we can both agree, while differing opinions are fine, people who give factually inaccurate advice here are dangerous to both newbie guys and girls and need to be called out when they do so.

and get a lady officer to field calls from you from an ad she just put up on Backpage. Then they arrest you when you walk in and shuffle you off the the adjoining room and wait for the next John, until they get a roomful. Then They call the Paddie Wagon. They get lots of arrests real fast which is efficient for them.  
On the flip side they get a male officer to call women on Backpage and have them come over spaced 10 minutes apart. Same procedure. LE seems to like arresting women far more than men (Arresting men is bad for the gambling business), and everything in Vegas is done to pander to what's good for the Casinos (they pay the taxes after all).  
Casinos that are know for giving rooms free to LE so they can arrest people are Mandalay Bay, and Luxor.
I recommend you stand at the end of the hallway and observe the room in question for 15 minutes and see if you see traffic going in and out of the room

They only send the girls to guys to strip. So they have plausable deniability. The agencies tell the girls they screen the guys to make them feel safe and to justify taking a cut of the girls profits. They really do absolutely no screening. The girl would be better off as an independant.

say they are not LE. Also, some LE in Vegas are Cowboys and do whatever they feel like, even if it is against the letter of the law. LE has been known just to arrest people the minute they walk in the room (not the law but they don't care). Also LE can just wait for you to come of of the bathroom and proceed with your encounter. Once arrested you can then hire an attorney and try to convince a judge that you just "accidently" left some money on the table.

There have been good advice and differing opinions.  I've thought of a couple of things I've learned over the years.

1. Outcall versus Incall:  My impression is that most escort busts occur during incalls at hotels.  The post about the adjoining rooms in Las Vegas is a good example.  Cops can set up a hotel suite all ready to go and bust one guy after another.  If you agree to an incall, I would offer this advice:
- Call her to get her room number before you enter the hotel lobby.  Don't do it from the hotel bar and certainly don't do it from the lobby!  Enter from a side door if you can do it without a key.
- Look like you belong there.  I often will carry an empty laptop case so I look like I'm returning from working somewhere.  
- Practice good OPSEC when you arrive.  I'm sure we all have had the situation where someone else in the elevator gets off on the same floor.  When that happens, I do one of two things:  I either walk in the opposite direction of the other person; or, I mutter something like, "Darn...wrong floor!" and hit a higher floor button.  If you're on the top floor, mutter something like, "Missed my floor again!" or "Darn, I left my phone in the rental car!" and push the button to the first floor.  You can always push a second button so you won't have to go all the way to the bottom.
- Walk past the room and check things out when you are walking down the hall.  If there's a lot of hallway traffic, keep walking until you determine that things have calmed down.
- If your sixth sense tells you something is fishy, bail.
- When you leave after the session, leave the hotel via a side door if one is available.  

I'm generally cautious about doing an incall.  There are a lot of observables that the hotel staff and other guests see throughout the day.  The manager might be tipped off.  

Outcalls have a different set of issues.  First of all, there is a higher risk for the provider and most are reluctant to meet you if you aren't staying at a very good hotel.  But, you control the real estate and you can pretty much guarantee you aren't walking into a sting.  As in some examples, she will want to check out the bathroom for the very same reason you would check it out during an incall.  I have also heard that it's a good idea to have only a couple of dim lights on in the room when she arrives.  You want enough light so she feels comfortable, but, not too bright that she might think there are surveillance cameras operating.  (I heard the lighting thing from a lady years ago.)

You will have to be careful about hotel access.  Can she get in on her own or does she have to have a key to operate the door or the elevator?  You may have to meet her outside or in the lobby.  What is the traffic like around your room?  When she knocks, open the door with the chain attached.  You want to make sure there isn't a "boyfriend" there with her.  Obviously, this won't be a problem if you have done your homework.  Let her in a quickly as possible so she isn't out in the hallway for longer than necessary.  Greet her quietly, invite her in, and quietly close (and lock) the door.  Don't slam it and locking it is another indication that you don't want any additional guests to join the party.

2. Back on incalls, be very cautious about ladies who set up shop at a hotel with room doors that open directly to the outside.  That's a great way for a sting to be set up as well.

3. If all of this makes you nervous, the alternative is to travel overseas where the hobby is legal -- seriously.  The downside is that there generally is a language barrier and the sex is a lot more clinical.  I don't think I've ever had anything even coming close to a GFE in Europe.

I had a guy schedule- come in hotel, walk around inside. I had gone down to front desk to pay for another night & the cameras were there so I could see the guy wondering around my room on the 3rd floor. He called sayin he arrived at the hotel & I asked him to give me a few mins & for him to wait outside in his car. The guy wonderin around my room creeped me out so I cancelled the appt. We textd back & forth a bit, with him really wanting to know why I had cancelled last minute, he had driven 45mins to see me.
So I told him front desk let me know there was someone wonderin around inside the hotel around my room, he said it was him. I was angry about it, he talked me into going ahead with the appt., so we did. When he walked in he stated he felt he should make sure everyone knows about it in the review (not sure if he was trying to get a discount but I didn't give him one- guys backchannel their bs, never telling what they did to cause the situation), altho to think about it now- how did he know I was on the 3rd floor, I didn't give him my hotel until he was on his way?  
So be careful when your wondering around the hotel, even though it's a good idea to look out for yourself, you need to make sure that ya don't bring unneccessary attention to the girl's room, or yourself as a creeper
