I'm trying to figure out what got a post yanked.

It was to the general board asking about hotels in a popular destination. It could have been posted to 'other cities', but there's actually more discussion of the area on the general board. (There's no regional board for the area.)

I made sure that it hadn't already been covered by doing a search for posts within the last 1000 days on both 'other cities' and 'general', using combinations of the country, city, and keywords for what I was asking about.

I didn't shill for anything, mention any other user, use an alias or include any links or photos.

To make sure that the ISO rule* didn't apply to searching for hotels, I re-posted in other-cities. It was pulled there too. (*"In Search Of posts should be posted on the ISO board, Porn Stars board, Transsexual board or Regional board.")

The question was whether any of the non-casino hotels were any good. The only similar threads threads that turned up related to the two casino-hotels in town and some resorts within 100 miles.

It was hobby-related because some are monger-friendly and others not.

Did I miss something?

It may not have been a technical violation but you really didn't expect any real replies on a PUBLIC forum.  Searchable by Google & LE.  Hotel sees their name listed as Hooker Haven & suddenly starts looking further into certain guests.  LE or the local soccer mom club gets wind of hookers working nearby...  starts calling corporate HQ, complaining, picketing etc.  Requests LE to step up patrols, tells house detectives to wake up & start intercepting traffic.
The hobby is often overlooked...  so long as it is super discrete.  For the same reason a review should never give a hotel name or an exact location.  

Now I can see if you are traveling to an exotic location for business or pleasure would be nice to book at a hobby friendly location...  but I do not know how to do this discretely.  Perhaps to post a DISCRETE ISO in the correct local board but request PMs or provide a secure Private Email (knowing the spammers will find it but then you just delete the account.   You only have 2 reviews but at least you have some credibility.  
If you proposed to book with a well reviewed TER provider in that local, perhaps she would provide feed back on a hotel choice...  probably with assurances of a meeting.

You'll need VIP in order to correctly & fully research providers prior to booking...  which will enable your PM ability.

The only alternative is to try to do some research on the hotels near your destination.  Avoid hotels which require key cards for the room floors.  I don't normally book hotels on my own so have few suggestions on how to research directly.

the correct thing is to ask people to PM you with responses.

You should write to TER directly and ask, there could have been some other reason the post was pulled down.

Did you check what was written on your "my posts" in your account manager?  That could give you a clue also.

I asked about hotels in "San Jose, CR", since "CR" seemed like the standard abbreviation for Costa Rica on the boards. The hobby is legal there. Maybe they thought that I meant San Jose, California. I should have thought of that.

If you look at the top right of the GD board main page it says all topics have to be related to sex, erotica, or the hobby. Your post was probably pulled for being not "topic relevant."

On the regional boards topics about the region but not  necessarily sex or hobby related are allowed. This is why on regional boards you see questions about hotels, the best pizza in town, best steakhouse, etc. You won't see those on the GD, which is why your search going back 1000 days didn't show anything.

It may be true that discussing hotels on a public board is not the smartest thing, but it's not against TER rules. Hotels are discussed on regional boards all the time. Just look at the Vegas board for examples.

specific  hotels' names in any forum.  That should always be done in PM or email.  Just not a smart idea!!!!!

I am pretty sure the answer I gave him (topic relevance) is correct. And for all the guys above who thinks the post was pulled because you shouldn't mention hotel names:
