Scenario: You arrange a meeting with a provider. Next, you quickly consult with a friend (or a local you just met in the area) and pay them a few dollars to discreetly follow you whilst not making it seem like the two of you are aware of the other's presence.

You give the second person a cue: You knock on the provider's door, and the moment the door opens and you & the provider say "hello", the other person (from a distance) yells,

"OH MY GOD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?! STOP THAT! STOP THAT! STOP THAT!"

At that point you turn your head, and the second person explains what is taking place out of your view - maybe 2 teenagers are fighting, maybe an old lady just had her purse snatched, etc.

If you or the provider were LE, it would be LE's first instinct to get involved or immediately investigate what's going on, and not stand there and look confused for a few seconds. Even after person-2 said "STOP THAT!" there's obviously something going on and the kind of body language/reflexes in either one of you would be telling.

There's many options to "diffuse" the scene, but as far as LE checking, I don't see many flaws in this strategy at all.

To the provider.  If I suspected a client was this indiscreet, I would ask them to leave.

If you feel the need to go to these lengths, perhaps a different hobby is better for you!

If the hobbyist was to reveal to the provider that this was an LE check, then yes, it may be in the hobbyist's best interest to leave.

However, like I said in my OP, it depends on how everything was diffused at the end.

This would be the best way:

Hobbyist tells provider that person-2 had "cried wolf" (If it was teenagers fighting, you tell the provider that it appeared the kids were just "play fighting", not real-fighting, and that their parents were present.)

At the end, no attention is drawn to you or the provider, and you're both verified.

P.S. - Nothing is discreet. LE checks have become a very big deal in my neck of the woods. No need to find a different hobby, just looking for ways to play it safe!

You seem to want to reinvent the wheel.  Consider that if you've done your homework, the need for theatrics drops by about 99.9%.  That makes way more sense than trying to dream up a stunt that will outsmart guys that are trained to detect lies.  Thankfully, more areas don't waste a ton of time on crimes like prostitution, but if they do, they want results and aren't going to be fooled by some goofy prank.

See, LE is hip to these shenanigans, they are trained how to handle these scenarios.

In order for you to make this work, you will need a few more friends (I know, difficult for you, but let's pretend) They need to start an argument where the suspected LE can SEE the altercation. Remember, LE must witness the fight.

Now, arguing is not a crime, so Friend 1 pulls a knife and stabs Friend 2 through the neck. Now LE *should* reveal themselves.

Downsides: Depending on your hobbying frequency, you will run out of friends rather quickly.

And, you may scare off a legitimate provider.

Other than that, you're golden!

It seems on this board and also on my own local board that the "breast & genital" tug or numerous reviews is not a guarantee of anything. If it is the final tell-all then why are many still posting/worried about LE checks?

Busts are very frequent in my city. Prosecution from what I read and understand is dependent on whether there's a good case. It helps if the accused has never said anything to incriminate himself but I would rather find out for sure if I was walking into an LE trap before the embarrassment and disappointment happened.

Just looking for alternative verification methods, that's all.

First reputable providers will never meet you outside for an appointment unless they have met you before and trust you. Second such a stunt tried in a hotel, apt, cafe or any other location will draw undue attention and will scare the provider. Third passersby in the area might get spooked and actually call LE. Fourth how much is a "few dollars" that you want to give some "local?" and what makes you think they won't rat you out.

The best advice I can give is STFU and don't share your secret with anyone. Two, do your homework, research and use common sense. If you choose reputable and well reviewed escorts you should be fine. Three, stay away from LE magnets like CL, BP, Cityvibe, incall to ghetto neighborhoods, outcall / incall to risky hotels and there is nothing to worry about. Four, trust your instincts.

I will tell you this. If you inform a provider of such a stunt prior to an appointment, she is almost guaranteed to NCNS you. If you try it before an appointment, you will end up on a DNS list. In all probability the provider will think you are psycho.

Your reckless stunt not only endangers providers but hobbyists that follow you as well. That is if LE doesn't knock on the door while you and the provider are getting busy.

I'm with the traveler...stop overthinking...check reviews, relax, and have great sex.  This is a hobby not a game of I-Spy!

Or wait, I have a better idea, have that same friend approach and then you can shoot them, if the provider stops you then she is LE....if not...well I guess you saved yourself the few bucks you offered to pay the friend.

I can picture the whole scenario in my mind and it's hilarious if you are not involved directly.

You will spend more to hire a "local" than you'd pay for VIP to be sure your intended is a well reviewed provider.
Your "local" can & will ID you.  When you lie about it you'll be arrested.  

You've brought unwanted attendion to the provider & her location.  I'd expect that you'd be shoved unceremoniously out the door to join your local while the provider goes on lockdown & makes her exit through another exit.

Getting a third party involved is a pretty big flaw in my book! Why on earth would you tell a friend or, even dumber, a total stranger that you need their help in making sure that the illegal activity you are about to engage in is not a set up?

Look for well-reviewed providers.  Stay away from Back Page and CL ads. At the very least look for providers with web sites and an active advertising history. The best way to avoid trouble is not to go looking for it in the first place.  Instead of wasting energy and brain power trying to outsmart LE (you can't) do your research and learn to avoid them in the first place.

Then follow instructions and suggestions. Or, do a search, since the issue has been discussed many times, because it is a prominent issue.

Your whole approach reminds me of Wiley Coyote in the Roadrunner cartoons. He never gets the Roadrunner, and he always causes damage to himself in the process.

There ARE no alternative verification methods.  If you wind up in a room with LE you go to jail.  Do your research, be patient, choose wisely or don't choose at all if you are not sure.  You can not outsmart LE because, quite simply, they play by their own rules. An arrest alone is enough to ruin your life regardless of whether or not there is a ever a conviction.

Wouldn't you need to actually walk INTO the room for LE to make an arrest, if the escort was really LE?

Okay  I'm very new to this. I have 1 review!! It's  alot harder to get started than one would think. You have to be very smart and everyone who call's are LE untill they prove otherwise!!! But even tho I'm new I would kicked them out to avoid attention to myself. I think the key here is alway's try to avoid a seen where ever you are!!

OK smart guy...now I found a flaw in your plan...Friend 2 dies instantly and the provider rushes to his side...you will really never know if she was LE or just an EMT or the coroner....if she was either of the latter two you just screwed up a perfectly good date!!!!!!!

And everyone thinks this hobby is easy!  

Maybe someone should consider opening a LE entrapment service to lure LE out of the bushes with fake criminal emergencies?

This is a stupid though creative idea.  Also, the word is "defused"--meaning to calm down a situation. "Diffused" is like that thing your wife bought to put in the bathroom so it smells like vanilla--i.e., the scent was diffused throughout the room.  Sorry for being a spelling- nazi-provider, though I'm sure you won't mind if you would ever like to play strip-spelling-bee with me.
