Lots of things, most are not good. Much higher likelihood she is not around, or is not working reliably, or looks and acts a lot different than she did when those reviews were written.
When trying to see someone with no reviews for more than six months, my most common experiences have either been no replies at all, or NCNS. I have never tried to see someone with no reviews for more than 2 years. Given that history, I will not see anyone without some current activity that I can find, be it new ads, reviews elsewhere, a current web site with posts or a calendar that is up to date, or something that indicates she is still in the game and providing well.
Otherwise you are wasting your time, at best, or likely to get a big surprise, and not a pleasant one. A lot can change in 4+ years.
Ok, here's the deal. I am searching for a provider in a given area where I plan to be. Back comes 12 providers. I start reading and there are three that really stand out and I get ready to contact them, when I notice that the reviews are all from 2006. Now, I am wondering.... why are there no new reviews? Out of the business? No longer on TER? No one is seeing them who is a member here?
For what it's worth, I am not happy calling someone who has no recent reviews. Am I being too paranoid here?
First and foremost is that she mainly sees regulars who wrote reveiws years ago.
She might also be semi-rtired.
Also, I know and have seen one excellent provider who has some reviews, but asked me not to write one of her because she no longer believes in them. (Whatever)
In any case, I too would be a bit wary if someone did not have a review going back over two years.
At the least I would PM some of the people who had reviewed her and ask them if they still know her and would recommend her.

Better safe than sorry if she does not have reviews in 4yrs it could be she is seeing regular clients that have reviewed previously,retired,requested to not be reviewed,might have a civiian job,it could be an array of reasons.I would recommend searching their names and see have they posted any ads or replied to any discussion boards.Funny,you posted this question I had a gentleman ask why I haven't had any reviews in almost 4 months I did not expect that question while I do not think 4 months is a long time 4yrs is definitely when you would ask that kind of question.Most of the gents I see some might be TER members but are not hence the gap in reviews,but 4 yrs is way long I don't think you are being paranoid at all.
