So, I have been shaving down their for about a year or so. I know about shave bumps. Now, I have noticed that I got a pimple on my shaft, close to the sac. Its nothing serious, but it has been a damper. It goes away after a week or so, then appears at another spot. This is the first time it has happened. I don't usually get these, but it has been visible now for one month. Don't worry, I just had a physical checkup with my doctor and had all the STD/HIV test a week ago, and I am negative for those all STD's. Anyways, my doctor does the usually scrotum and shaft examination, and he noticed it too. But didn't say anything like he knew what it was. So, I had to ask him. What is it? He told me some technical term for a pimple on the body. That was a relief, but I kinda knew that it was a pimple. Told him I had it for a month, and he asked me if I wanted a prescription for tetracycline (average meds) or doxycyline (stronger meds) for pimples. Told him no, and he told me that he doesn't recommend cause it will go away naturally within that month.

Anyways, its a small visible red dot pimple looking thing on my shaft (close to my scrotum). Its definitely visible. I am embarrassed to see any providers because they might think I have Herpes or something. So, I haven't been hobbying for a month now, and its a total drag. I've been making up weird excuses not to see my regulars. Besides, its better for me cause I don't want to get infected if there is skin irritation due to sex, so I stay by myself for the time being. Its just me being super cautious.

My question is, has any1 else had this problem, I know I can't be the only one. & what did you do during those times? And providers, have you seen anything like that from your Johns, and what do you do during those times? Any feedback would help, its kind of odd, but it surely helps because it relates to the hobby. Thanks.

Don't want to be graphic so I will try not to.
Pimples ar definatley smaller , come to a head ,and will discharge WHITE " fluid ".
Cyst's are larger , sit under the skin more , last for a long time and emit a clear water like discharge. How do I know - I have cyst's and am currently on medication to slow them dowm . Many middle aged men get them. Not uncommon to forn under your manhood . I have them on my back as well. Took 4 years for me to do something and MAN , I am glad I did .
I feel your embarrassment as my lower back is pretty scarred after a few years of neglecting this problem . Trying to be patient and follow the doctors advice .
I took tetracycline as a child and it was incredible how quickly and permantly it stopped the teenage pimple phase . For these damn cyst's I got put on another medication, and again in a week they stopped and now a month later I am WAY better !
TAKE THE MEDICATIONS !!!!
Hope they are pimples ,but again - TAKE THE MED's , they work GREAT ! Mine is $30 for a months supply , w/o my insurance co pay on presciptions.

I got one of those pimples too . I thought is was from putting on the condom without lube. have made sure to get some lube down there before condom goes on since then and hasent happened since.

As I have gotten older, I have developed a lot more body hair then when I was younger and a lot of times I notice a small pimple develop just before the hair comes out. It goes away by itself but it can be in weird places.

No need to shave down there.  Just trim short & you're good.  Truthfully I prefer a lady with a soft kitty, maybe shaVed below, but as long as it's not a jungle it's fine.

Use an electric beard shaver. No cuts; I always get concerned using a blade and the possibility of small razor cuts and fluid transfer. I use an electric razor now.

It is not uncommon at all for people to get minor infections from shaving.  May be from not using a fresh razor, or from not cleaning effectively after you shaved.  Try using hydrogen peroxide rinse after you shave, followed by an anti-bacterial hand or body soap, and simply get some triple anti-biotic over the counter at the drug store and rub some in after you shave, and now while the pimple is active.

I asked my doctor one time about it and he told me the same thing that it was a pimple. Instead of showers, I take baths, I use some moisturizing shampoo in that area and it usually goes away in a couple days. Doesn't seem to be contagious so I don't stop hobbying at all. None of the gals ever ask about it when it has happened, but if they did I would but let them know its from ingrown hairs.

I had a similar problem.  What I found worked for me was to stop shaving and switch to magic shave.
