No it's not common and it's not very effective screening, anyone can have business cards printed up. That said if she wants it and you're comfortable giving it go ahead, but she wouldn't get it from me. while she is free to ask for anything she wants, the whole idea behind screening services is avoiding the need for giving out all the extra information.
Dear Tabu: You are right. It does not disclose or indicate anything about a clients psychological, intellectual or libidinal propensities. All which are essential in the verification and investigative process of determining if a session will be successful.

I recall being asked when I showed up at providers' places to show a business card, but that's because back then it was all they had for screening sometimes, and it filtered out the rift-raft.
Today gals will want to know where you work and will call and confirm that you work there by acting like they are calling from your dentist's office or some such thing.
I wonder why she is using such a throw-back method.
she's only requesting that and maybe a screening site ID (P411, DC, etc). If you are who you say you are and she's verifying you by a call to your employer, isn't a photo easier to dispose of than data? If the info is typed, it's data that's mineable, but seems an image file would be more secure in that way- it's also unsearchable.
I haven't heard of this often but sounds pretty legit from that perspective.
If the OP has VIP, he could always pm one of her reviewers to further ascertain her legitimacy.
Often times mistakes are made in email addresses and websites by just one simple letter ... seeing a copy of the card can be easier to read. Most business cards include everything needed to begin verifying employment.
along with a photo ID, to confirm identity/employment...but that would be the day of the appointment, with everything presented in person. She might also ask you to present photo ID when she meets you in person...otherwise, what's the use of you sending a business card that could be anyone's, from anywhere?
It's not done very much...myself and other girls I've met usually want to have a client screened and verified before we set aside the time to meet... and when done in advance, there are much easier and more reliable ways to confirm identity.
On The Rockford Files, PI James Rockford (played by James Garner, RIP July 19, 2014) drove around with a mini-printing press and movable type(!!) and would print up whatever fake business card he needed for the occasion: insurance investigator, mortician, housing inspector ...
