As a newbie (or oldie for that matter) you may want to keep your eye on the Chicago board for discussions on various topics of client/provider relationships.
Started by Sinful, one of Chicago's finest ladies, looks like this could be a good forum for you to learn a few things.

I'd be happy to offer a class to newbie providers on what makes a successful experience.  Limited scholarships are available.

That would be great if someone could do a newbie class here in seattle.
