Just joined a few days ago and been looking are reviews in my area.  I am really interested in a couple of providers but dont know what the next step is.  How do you start the phone call. Its hard to talk to a stranger albeit from the provider stand point.  What the no no during a conversation?  thanks in advace

If they don't require screening, here's how the phone conversation might go:

her: "Hello."

you: "Hi, is this Debbie?"

"Yes."

"I saw your reviews (or website) and I was wondering if I could see you next Thursday at 1PM?"

"Yes, I'm available then."

"Great.  What's next?"

"Please call me an hour before our appointment and I'll give you general directions.  I'll see you then."

If they require screening, then you have to follow their directions on their website.  Some require references (which you don't have), or they will screen you through your employment.

No discussion of specific acts.

No discussion of money on the phone or in writing.
