I am very interested in becoming an escort.  Could anyone guide me in the right direction on where to get started?  Should I seek out an agency or go in on my own.  Any advice would be appreciated!
THANKS!

There is ton of information in the Self Help Center and its a great place to start. Once you are done reading that, you might want to head to the Regional Board and introduce yourself. You might want to see if you can find some lady to mentor you.

You can find the self help link on the top right.

Good luck...

you start with an agency.  They do all the leg work, screening, advertising, maybe even providing a location for you to do incall.  However, many agencies will book many appts. per day for you, leaving you with little time in between to recover and/or prepare for the next client.  If you go it alone, you have to do the ads, get the website, secure an incall if you want to do incall, set up your dates, screen the guys, all the stuff an agency would do for you.  The up side of being indie is that you decide who to see, and set up your own schedule, seeing as many or as few clients per day as you choose.

Your choice, I've just tried to give you an idea of how it works either way.

These agencies get busted often for one thing or another. A Florida based agency just got busted.

My perspective is that you have higher chance of getting in trouble, as a provider, if you worked for agency. Hobbyists tend to get away if they are smart enough to shut up.

Yes, getting appointments will be easy with agencies, as they tend to have loyal customer base, but you need to consider the downside too.. Perhaps you can start working for agency for a few months and then venture out on your own... Just a suggestion...

with an agency, but IMHO she should just use that as her starting point until she gets established, then go indie, as you indicated.  I should have said that in my orig post.

I think the most important factor is who you are and what do you want from this business. If you are reasonably attractive and can be as intimate with a 73 year old bald guy as you could with Brad Pitt, then you belong in an agency. If you are going to have a lot of rules like no kissing, everything covered, etc. then you will not last long in an agency and should go out on your own.
