Difficult question here. I find myself in a very embarrassing situation having been diagnosed with Peyronies Disease which results in scar tissue forming on the penis and causing a bend (mine was over 90 deg). This prevented me from having sexual intercourse. I've since had treatment which has greatly reduced the bend but I am not sure if intercourse is yet possible. I am hoping to find a provider that will help me through this. Basically I need someone who understands the situation and will be patient and compassionate enough to assist. My question is how do I find a provider that's willing to do this. I understand (now) I can't broach this specificity in email...but do not want to book an appointment without this being discussed. My fear is showing up and finding them unwilling and me wasting $$$. I appreciate any advice.
Qs like yours come up occasionally. This isn't the best suggestion, but it's a start. Search either General or your Regional Discussion board for "disability" "recovering [from surgery]" or "ED" or "Erectile Dysfunction" (include incorrect spellings) "Erectile Disfunction" "paralysis" "special needs" even "Peyronie's" (maybe START!! with "Peyronie" and some misspelled forms) ... . There are many Providers who post that they are very good at working with clients with an assortment of non-standard needs. The searches ("disability" etc.) might pull up some of those posts and give you (a) a link to someone current or (b) some ideas about other search terms to improve the search. . Good luck.

I've read that porn stars who overuse Caverject sometimes develop Peyronies.
First off, it's nice to meet you (online)....I have only been here a shortwhile and I am catching up with the current state of p4p & providers in 2024. I myself am disabled and use a wheelchair....I'm 56 and in the twilight of my life (when I was born in 1967 with my congenital bone disease, the MILD form of Osteogenesis Imperfecta, they told my parents I wouldn't make it past 35....but knowledge and advancements continued apace and here I am at 56, on the downside but still breathing and wheeling along.) You have my respect and empathy (NOT SYMPATHY, Empathy) Let's see if i can help you out a little....
First, I need more information:
How old are you? Where are you from? What is your financial situation (i.e. how much can you safely afford to find a provider to help you experience whatever it is you want...? I would also ask you this: WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU WANTING from a provider....? Is it just sexual release, or is it affection and conversation, or both?
There are providers who would be willing to work with you as long as you work with them in telling them up front what it is you want or need from them.
Congratulations on proving the doctors wrong. Sounds like you have much to be thankful for in that regard.
I'm 53, living in Boise, Id, which seems to be a provider desert for the most part. I could part with 1k for the right provider. I could travel to Salt Lake.
What I am looking for is to find out if I am now able to have intercourse after the treatment I underwent (Xiaflex injections). The treatment did greatly reduce the curve of my penis, but not completely, and left it a bit funny looking (to me, it used to be perfectly straight and now it's a little curved and bumpy). Based on the results, I either will be able to have intercourse again or go back into the Urologist for next steps.
From the provider, I am looking for someone I can communicate this to and hopefully have them be patient and understanding and think of this as a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately, it seems providers need you to book the meeting first, before they will discuss anything. I tried to reach out to a couple (before I knew anything) and one replied saying "don't do that" and the others just didn't respond. That's totally fair. I understand their point of view. But leaves me in this chicken or egg situation. What I was hoping to avoid was paying $500 for a provider that was really helpful either by watching the clock, or being impatient or annoyed.
I think I may just fly up to Montreal and stay for a couple of days and attempt to see several providers (the agencies there seem to charge @$200 US/hr).
