New to this. Don't know the ins and outs, can anyone help me get comfortable?

First of all, remember that "get comfortable" means take off your clothes.  I don't think we can teach you to do *that* on the TER boards.  But if you want real advice you can use, read the newbie manual at the top of the forum.  It has a lot of thing you absolutely need to know before you get into the hobby.  Good luck.
