Jessica, please check out the link below - you should find the information on posting provider ads and the TER review process to be quite helpful. It also supplies guidelines on what is necessary to include a link in your posts to your web site.
The TER forums are discussion boards, and not an advertising medium. However, providers are allowed to post one ad message per week on specific forums, provided it meets certain criteria (for example, ad posts are not allowed on the FAQ for Newbies board).
There are so many sites to advertise on and so many ways to market yourself that “sitting and waiting” isn’t a productive method any more.
I try to think each provider will get out of the hobby an experience that is in direct proportion to what they give.
I’d suggest you join few of the ladies boards and get linked into some networking (*that is communicate with other providers and share ideas, client info, etc*) There is a tremendous amount of knowledge and most of the established providers have no problem offering suggestions and advise if you just seek them out.
In regards to reviews and reputation...… I’d just suggest you deliver what you promise or advertise and do it with consistency while being reliable. The rest will come in time.
My only other suggestion is to not be tempted to take short cuts….. (*having friends make false reviews, jazzing up your site with stock or unrealistic photos, making obligations, promises or giving expectations that you can’t live up to*)
