I just started escorting. I have had a few clients that I got thru a friend who has done this for a while and I guess she wasnt their type so she referred them to me. I have signed up to a couple sites (cityvibe and sexyescortads)
but have not had any responses yet. I know this probably has to do with my high prices and no reviews yet. How do i get reviews!?! do i just ask guys to review me after or what?? Also I am not interested in lowerin my prices. I live in houston and i know theres alot of competition but I know Im worth the money. Im doing 2hour minimum for 450/2hr.

Put together a website there are many free sites out there the one I use right now is www.escortsite.com

When in Texas Preferred411.com is a must

There are a few other places, for more information email me

the fact that you want a minimum 2 hr date.  I'm sure you are worth the $, but in today's economy, I think more guys would be more likely to visit you for an hour at $225 or $250, than pay your requested rate for 2 hrs.

Just wondering, why the 2 hr minimum?

To get reviews, you might have to ask for them.  You can ask if they belong to any of the major review sites, including this one.  If they say yes, then ask if they would mind writing a review of your date (assuming you think they enjoyed themselves).

start with a 1hr rate of $250 or $300 and then a 2hr of $450 or $500 that way you ARE giving a discount for 2hrs. I don't think you should lower your rate and once you are reviewed the longer dates will come.
You do need a website its more exposure and p411 is a good site.
Get on your local board and get yourself out there so when they see your name it's familiar to them.

Many times with a 2hr date it requires 3hrs for the Gentleman with travel if married that's alot of time to account for.  One hr they can account for that, take a long lunch, stop after work but 2hrs they may not be able to swing. It's not always the $$ that's the hold up, but time.

Good luck!

well i was putting the time limit because honestly I dont wish to meet for any lower than that. I understand what you are all saying especially about a married man having to account for that much time! Im going to rethink how im goin to do my rates and hours etc. Im setting up my site now. Thank you sooooo much for all your advice! keep it coming!

Remember, you can always start a little lower to get clientele and reviews and raise your rates later for newcomers as you become more in demand.  Remember - supply and demand is the way capitalism works.  Grandfather your original base clientele under the rate you were at when they met you.  Newcomers will pay whatever rate is posted at the time of visit.  You could also make a special rate for repeat clients.  Make notes for yourself and always do the best you can to please.  Don't try to con or try to upsell.  It'll only gain you a bad name and poor reviews.  Make sure your going rate covers everything that your willing to put on your menu.  Good luck, screen clients thoroughly, and stay safe out there.  Let us know if we can lend you any further advice.

But until one or more satisfied recidivists add you to their review litany and promulgate their delight in your concupiscent charms your current minimum donation will only defer the vindication of your claim.

'Jim Croche' touched upon un-recognized talent in his classic song "Work'n at the car wash Blues"

"Well, I should be sittin' in an air-conditioned
office in a swivel chair
Talkin' som trash to the secretary sayin'
(spoken) hey now mama come on over here
But still I'm stuck here rubbin' these fenders with a rag
and walkin' home in soggy old shoes
With them steadily deppressin', low-down mind-messin'
workin' at the car wash blues"

new guys to hobbying to see only well reviewed providers.  Your reviews will come once some guys TOFTT with you.

It is all about marketing.  Yes, a web site of your own will help.  You need accurate pictures (not necessarily revealing pics) that show what you are all about; meaning some close-ups (OK to blur your face), some showing your full body (some guys don't like tall women or short women, etc.), and pics in different types of attire (some in a dress, swimsuit, lingerie, etc.)

Develop a board presence.  Post on the Newbie Board, your local board, and the general board if you have the time.  Guys need to know about you in order to "want to see you".  There are about dozen or more ladies I have seen through getting to know them here.  I don't search Eros or any other escort mall unless I'm visiting a new city.

Good luck!

you need a "Special" lower price.  Put a time limit on it.  This week.  You can always extend it.

I think you should rethink your time minimum.  it is very possible to have a lot of fun in a Full Hour.  It greatly broadens your potential client base...  which you need to do right now.

You need a web site.  A template site is fine, but it is much more professional.  Pictures...  guys are visual.  Need not be totally explicit & face can be blurred, but guys want to see...  You need a TER logo (linked back on page 1 or 2 of web site) then when you do get reviewed, you can get FREE TER VIP.

You can run an ad on TER regional (aka "local board") one every 7 days.  Free.  It helps a bunch if you participate on your local board & chat the guys up...  it helps break the ice for non-reviewed ladies.

READ the Newbie manual...  link at the top of this board.  Read back several pages here & at least some of the other boards.  What you learn will help you greatly.

...drop the 2 hour limit.  I'm married and there is no way I can get away that long without some serious explaining.

What sites do you recremend that I go ahead and post ads on? They are all quite expensive and I want to just start off with one or two. Which are the best? I have a site all set up! Super excited!

And are you guys saying that by talking on these boards and stuff guys will be more comfortable seeing me??

Cityvibe, Eros and Backpage are frequented venues. However, some of the Backpage ads are turn offs so, if you use them, concentrate on making a good first impression with some attractive photos and an ad line that is not cheezy.  You'll stand out, I promise.

when i post an ad on BP Eros or CV I make sure my ad is very different from any other ad there.
First off I add a poem to all my ads, one I've written so it personal and gives insight into a bit about me.
No need to be blunt or direct, just set a tone in your ads. One that tells them you are interesting  intelligent and easy to get to know.
If you have an ad out there for "your time" there is no doubt they already know what else you do. No need to put that in the ad. I focus my ads on relaxation and comfortability...works for me.
Read the other ads, lots of them out there and see what it is that makes them all the same old same old and set yours to a very different tone.
It WILL pay off. Also helps weed out some of the losers who read the ads looking for key "hooker" phrases. lol you don't want to see those guys. The longer appts you are seeking in the long term are usually educated gentlemen who also are interested in your intelligence being a part of the experience. A 4hr dinner date requires a bit of social skills so reflect that in your advertising.
Now your pictures, a little says a lot. Sensual pictures that show little can gain you many clients. you do not need to bear all for any of your pictures. look through Alot of other well reviewed ladies websites here on ter and see what it is about them that is Sensual and captivating.
I have a few pictures that show nothing flashy but are very sensual in nature I am always told they are some favorites. Leaves a lot to the imagination thats always good. To start off with you don't even need professional pictures, just clear ones well shot.
You do not need to show your face and i advise against it. One day you may regret it if you do and once its out there its a done deal. Plus it's a much smaller world than you think it is on the web. everyone surfs and even your family and neighbors. Many Ladies do not show their face so it's ok, it doesn't hurt business any.
I see it as a trade off a bit less business maybe, for my sanity and privacy. It's a safety issue as well. LE reads all these sites ads and posts, never doubt that. Better safe than sorry.  You don't know if this is what you plan to do for a month a week 6 months or 5yrs right now so take it slow learn along the way and ask as many questions as you have and want to ask. Here on the Newbie board it's safe and they are very helpful. You will get correct and more accurate answers here than anywhere else.
Always always listen to your gutt, if your gutt says NO it's NO! Don't analize it just roll with it.

Good luck!
Nicole

thank you everyone again for the advice. I have changed my ads some. Have honestly been busy with my regular job and havent had time to keep up with this. Im going to get on top of it this weekend tho! I have decided to a one hour rate for sure and run a special. But havent done any paid advertising yet so Im sure thats why I havent gotten any responses yet! on pay day i will go ahead and post on eros i think!  You all have been soooo helpful. Im so glad i decided to write on here and didnt try to jump into it on my own! keep the advice coming if you have any more!

Check the escort posting rules for this site. You can post ads on the Houston board. Include pictures that give hobbyists and idea of what they are in for, but which preserve your privacy. Show a little face but not enough to allow a person to identify you. Start posting on the Houston regional board, introduce your self there. Ask about meet and greet parties, I have not used one, some hobbyists and providers do use those parties to meet face to face before arranging sessions.

I'm in Houston.  Post the link to your ad and/or website.  Whether to ask for a review depends on the raport you have with the client.  Use good judgement in makeing the request and it should be okay. Don't be insistant, just let them know that a positive word would be helpful.

Found your ad on sexyescortads.

I think you have a conflict there - you say you are open to "quickies" but also specify the 2 hour minimum appointment.  I'm sure the quickies is a mistake, and therefore, I question whether any or all of the other services you mention are a mistake.  You have a pretty complete menu, and if you in fact do offer anal, I don't think you'll have any problems filling up your dance card at $450 for two hours.

I'd make sure that you are advertising on Eros and those other sites (whichever ones are popular in Houston).  You'll get somone to TOFTT on you (again, especially if you offer anal), and write you a review. If you are as good as you say you are, you won't be a secret for too long.
