I am a provider, new to site and can't seem to get a profile going.  My clients are few and discreet and wouldn't want to share that kind of info.  How do i get a profile out there?
Thanks,
Lo

is to convince your clients to write a review of you.

Once you get one review published, you automatically get a profile which will have a link to your website or ad page, or both.

The info on you is set by the first person to write a review.  Errors in the information can be corrected by filing a problem report.

There's a lot more to it also, which you can read up on by clicking on the Self Help Manual that is linked on this board.  Look for the red and white life preserver.

Here's hoping that you join in the fun here.

Hey :) Thanks for the help.
My clients aren't the sharing type.  But I get the idea.  How long after a review does the profile post?
And hey.. THANK YOU for the help :)

Until you get a review written for you, you can always add a link to your website at the bottom of your posts so guys can check you out.

on how long it takes the review to get approved.  Unfortunately, there is no set time period.  It kinda depends on the reviewer.  If he is well established, that is he has more than 1 or 2 reviews, it might be pretty quick.  If he is a fairly new reviewer or it's his first one, it might not get posted until you get 1 or 2 more reviews.  You just never know.

It was suggested you read the self help center, good idea.  I am the host of the newbie board, so if you have any questions you want to ask in private, feel free to PM me.

Be sure to utilize the Regional Ad Boards. You can get good ideas from other providers
who post there. Many will post if they are traveling to the city or if they have new pics
to share. It something on the site that we check on since there is always new stuff to
check out. Good luck!

Thank you Sir Bucky :) Very much

Here's an idea:

It can take a while for a review to go up if you have a first time reviewer review a first time provider, such as yourself.  However, if you meet a TER member with several reviews, it is very likely your review will go up much sooner.

The reason for this is TER is skeptical of first time reviewers because they tend to be the main ones that post phony reviews, etc; and TER is very protective of the integrity of their review process.

So, what I suggest is that you join in discussions on your regional board, and hopefully meet a TER member who will have a session with you.  I meet many if not most of the gals I see this way.

You should also post your website or ad each time you post so that prospective clients can learn about you.  Before you do that, however, you must put an active TER logo link on the first or second page of your site.  Instructions on how to do that are in the Self Help Manual you'll find linked on this page.

My very best to you.

(For the sake of my curiosity, what city are you in?)

Thank you for the compliment and the advice.  I am in Los Angeles.

Offer a discount to "Established" TER member for reviews to get you started. Now this can be a slippery slope to navigate and you have to be careful. You must ask them to be honest in the review, and you must NEVER offer the discount for better scores. Seeing some TER respected members with several reviews would be a good way to help build some business and your rep.

It may also help out that if you know a gentleman is going to write you a review give him all the info you feel comfortable being listed.  Having a lot of "Don't knows" on your profile is frustrating when looking at a providers profile.

For example. Do you offer CIM? Greek? BBBJ? (Please don't answer that here). Maybe you offer Greek, but only to certain clients. You don't want it on your profile saying yes, as that my make clients think it is always on the menu. Then when you don't offer it to a certain client he may be disappointed and brings it up as part of a review. I am sure there is something I am not stating and someone else can add to this to help you out.

Thank you for the advice :) This site seems to have some really cool and nice people.
