Forgive me if I sound too naive, but aren't some providers requesting too much information about us ? 2 references, copy of driver's license, work information, work website, number to the main switchboard, job title, etc, etc.  You don't have to give much information when applying for a loan.  

I understand the need for safety specially in this business, but honestly should we be willing to impart this much information about ourselves to anyone for that matter ? the providers aren't the only ones taking a risk, we do too and we don't ask for any information about them.  Heck, in most cases, we don't even know their real first name.

If you're uncomfortable with the info a provider is requesting, simply move on. I have no problem finding escorts, who ask for info I'm comfortable giving out. You might consider joining a screening site like P411.

First, you actually need to give much more information for loans.  (SSN for example)  But I'll assume that you are asking an honest question with concerns for your security and not just whining about how seriously some ladies take their own safety.

In the screening there are three things that a lady typically wants to know:
1. You are not going to arrest her (i.e., what your job really is)
2. That you are not a known homicidal maniac or sexual predator (i.e., who you are)
3. Some assurance that you are not an asshole (i.e., references)

Some ladies ask for more info to assure her of these things, some are willing to work with less.  You have NO say in whether this is right or not.  You do have say in deciding if you are willing to give the lady what she requests, or if it is outside of your comfort zone.

You think knowing who you are is too much information for a lady to ask before putting your cock... where?!  You say you understand the need for safety, though it seems as if you actually don't.  Yes, you do also take some risk.  If you play with shady characters you might get robbed.  If you don't meet a real provider you might end up getting arrested for solicitation.  If you meet someone who is BSC you might end up getting outted.  Doing your homework will most often minimize, and even entirely prevent those harms from ever happening.  It is actually quite rare for clients dalliances to result in being murdered, physically and sexually assaulted, stalked, to lose custody cases, to be evicted from their apartments, etc.  The risks are not equal.

THEN it's coming closer to a level playing field.  Until then, simply look for ladies who screen within your comfort level

This is always a tough one, but the bottom line is - if there is someone that you want to see then you have to play by her rules or move on.  I know it can be touch to give out personal information to a total stranger - but it can also be tough for a provider as well and they usually ask for this information for their own safety.  I would suggest if you dont want to see a lady who requires a lot of information then to move on to someone who does not require it.  There are so many ladies out here that it should not be a problem for you to find someone you really like without the concern of divulging your real information.
