You have to avoid getting in the room with them in the first place. You do that by getting a VIP membership here, you ONLY see well reviewed women, with lots of reviews, whose reviewers have lots of reviews as well. Other things that cut down your risk is her being a member of p411 and/or DateCheck, her having her own website, her having a lengthy online board prescence of posting, pm'ing a number of her guys, and seeing her on an outcall basis if you are really LE phobic. Still no guarantees but this would bring your risk down into the being struck by lightning category, imo. Good luck.

Allow me to echo everything that the bluepillman said and more: one of the more common fallacies it that law enforcement must give it up if you ask if they are cops.  If ya think about about that for oh, a nanosecond or two, you realize that makes no sense, if that were the case, there would be NO undercover.  Cops can lie their asses off (and frequently do) and not only is it not a problem, it can be seen as good police work.

As BPM has noted, the best way to avoid interacting with them in the first place.  Know this: all vice in any large city are very familiar with this and all of the other sites.  The problem for them is there are very few of them compared to the number of people engaged in this "hobby."  

All this is to reinforce the use of this site and a little common sense.  I never see a girl with less than 5 reviews, with at least one of them from a reviewer who has 5 or more reviews himself.  This is also one of the reason (the other being is that I just like 'em!) I tend to gravitate to the porn chicks: if I call Claire Dames, I'm pretty confident that when the door opens and she's standing there, I'm not dealing with LE.   I have been on this site for 10 years now and have never had any issues with this.  

The other reason to get the VIP is that you can also get a pretty good idea of what you're getting.  Obviously, each individual review should be taken with a grain of salt but it's been my experience that the more reviews a girl has with consistently favorable comments, the more likely it is that what's been described is in the ballpark of what I perceive as objective reality.

You need VIP to read all the really necessary info about the provider.  You should also read the self help center.  It contains much important information for you.  When you decide to take the plunge, do your research on the provider, i e, reviews, website, pics, phone.  You have to be as careful in your research as she does in her screening.

As far as LEO is concerned, once you are in the room with them, you are toast.  They can, and will say anything to get you.  Your best bet is to just STFU.  My suggestion is to stay away from young ones that look too good to be true, because they probably are just that.  As you have been told already, look for well-reviewed providers, with reviews from established reviewers.  P411 allows their providers to indicate on their profiles whether they are newbie friendly or not.  Look for those ladies.

I received the same advice - get VIP. Do your  research. See only well reviewed ladies ( for me that was at least 10!), written by established reviewers, join Perf411 so that potential companions can easily screen you. You'll undoubtedly be nervous the first time ( as I was!) but that slowly dissipates as you become more experienced and more confident.
But still - never let your guard down!
You should also feel free to PM some of the reviewers of a lady that you're interested in to learn more about her. A few responses from  people with experience who have seen her will also go a long way to reassure you.

But first... P411 is pricey for someone who has money issues and a meager hobby budget. Date-check is free for initial basic membership, but requires that you already have some reviews. Most reputable independent providers will require some form of provider reference (although some will take you if you are willing to give up significant personal & work information, so that they can protect themselves). You have to decide if you are willing to do that. If they are reputable, you really don't have that much to worry about. One thing I suggest in finding the "right" provider - don't JUST read reviews, but also see if she posts on her local boards and has a good presence there, that's a girl who is more likely to treat you well.

A way to start getting references is to see a girl from a reputable agency, again check the boards and the reviews in your area... they often (not always) have a little gentler screening, and if you go out of your way to make a "gentlemanly" impression on the girl, the agency owner and possibly the girl as well will give you a reference.

Here's the advice that probably no one else will give you: while approaching a p4p date, ALWAYS assume that 1) you are going to get arrested, 2) you are going to contract a venereal disease, or 3) the girl is going to be a ripoff artist, cash-and-dash, or simply not look anywhere near as good as her pictures.

but you should re-read my post. I'm not talking about choosing a lady just because she posts here on TER. I CLEARLY said to use reviews first to choose a woman (thereby getting someone of the age, size, looks, etc that you want) and THEN check to see if she posts on general or local boards. Reading what she has to say can help to show if she has a brain and a sense of humor. I ALSO submit that a lady who has an active TER board presence will be someone who is likely (not guaranteed) to do what she says she will do and to try to provide a good experience because she respects the power of the reviews.

As to the suggestion that most providers who frequent discussion boards are over 40, well it just isn't true - nor does it matter to me (at any rate, you'll find that out when you read the review).
