Should only to be to respond to topics and commentary mentioned on the boards, not to inquire about business. E-mail or call them if that is what you have in mind...
I have Pm'ed several providers over the years and not one has ever replied. Most have even suggested in their ad's to PM them on the site. I am usually just asking if they are providing incall in a certain location.
I don't fell I am asking anything inappropriate. So does anyone else have this problem? And for providers if you are going to suggest people PMing you why wouldn't you reply?
Usually not a problem for me as I do get responses, the issue is how long it takes for a provider to return a pm. Many don't check TER a lot, causing pm's to sit for days. If they've got an email address, I suggest you try that.
I have always gotten replies to any pm's I have sent out. Sometimes not very timely as not all providers with reviews have the VIP needed to read pm's even though it is free with reviews and a user account linked to the reviews. Then as said a lot don't get on TER that often so they may not see it right away. If a lady posts on the boards regularly and has the see my TER reviews link by her name you should have good luck. Unless you said something in your PM that they feel is inappropriate.

Just ask a one-line question, or do you take the time to introduce yourself?
Oftentimes, a question from an unknown member may go unanswered because: *the info requested is clearly stated in ad *the pm sounds like a timewaster question *without a proper introduction, it may seem rude to just pm with a question...
There is a big difference between:
"Hi ProviderX, I noticed your ad and was wondering...(?, then short intro& maybe an interest to schedule?)"
&
"Are you offering incall in X area?"
I have found, that the "one-liner" guys don't book. Serious inquiries include more info and often alternative contact info such as phone or email or the gentleman arranges a time to call me.
My advice, take a little time to introduce yourself & you'll get better results from pming here. As another suggested, pm's are good for commenting on topics/discussions, but for the most part email is the way to go.
The delay for pm notification via email plus having to log in to get ter mail isn't always convenient. Most ladies have email via their cell phones so it's much quicker.
But again, if you email a lady a one-liner, you still might not get a response!
