Hey: I posted this on the M&G board a few days ago and didn't receive any feedback. Figured I'd give it another shot on the newbie board:

"I was told on the Newbie board that as a way to meet people and become familiar with other providers and hobbyists. However I'm not exactly sure how to (or if I will be able to for that matter) gain access to one. I'll be keeping m eyes open for the Chicago M&G but would love some tips on exactly how I should go about attending. As always thanks in advance."

and to that end, there's no better way to do that than to post on your local board.

When a Chicago area M&G is advertised, PM the people who post about it and express your interest in attending.

That should do the trick.

Post often on Chicago board & try to get to know people --especially guys.  Let them know you are interested in a M&G. Get VIP status on TER if you do not already have it. The easiest way to get invited to a M&G is get known & get trusted.

Keep an eye out on both the Chicago board and the M & G board.  You will need to be verified to get invited which means you will need a provider to vouch for you as well as have a posting history on the Chicago board.
