Hi, I'm new to the site, hobby, etc.  This is my first post and I have yet to be with a provider.  Well, today I took my first step to reach out to one and I sent her a message via her website.  I immediately got an email back pretty much telling me to go kill myself and that I need to give up on "trying".  I automatically assumed that someone else has been harassing her very recently and I responded that she had me confused with someone else.  I gave her all of my contact info, including my employer info.  She sent another email that was pretty nasty as well.  So, here I am trying to do the right thing, giving my contact info, setting up an TER account and my first attempt is a disaster.  How am I supposed to verify my background with a provider if they are not willing to speak to you or even follow up on your information?

I'm sorry that happened to you but you're just going to have to move on and find someone else. Good luck!

In the large scheme of things.. She showed you her character and you didn't even have to spend a penny!
There are plenty of providers out there who have great etiquette skills and even if the appointment doesn't come true, will treat you with the kindness and respect that every human being deserves.
Don't give up! Stick to well reviewed providers here until you find someone who you truly want to meet!

you read the details in her reviews to be sure she is a good fit for you?

I would only send the screening information that is asked for on the provider's website. You might want to get verified by either D-C, P411, or RS2K. Not sure I'd be sending my employment info to a provider who I didn't research thoroughly.
