More than likely, LE will find a provider who they will bust and them get her to flip...

that is, assist LE in bagging clients.

I can only recall one instance of this in Chicago a year or two ago.

It's rare, but very troubling as it undercuts the reliance on reviews that we invoke on her all the time.

The best way to avoid that situation is to be a constant reader of your local board where such things first become aired.

How do you know if provider is a decoy for a LE undercover mission. Even if she has reviews, it could have been written by anyone.

If she has several pages of good reviews, including from hobbyists that post here, chances are she is not LE.

When you're looking at the escorts profile, it shows all the reviewers. To check on the experience of the reviewer, simply  click on the reviewers TER handle. If the hobbyist has numerous reviews, chances are, he's not a cop.

Okay, it may be possible in a rare case, but highly unlikely that LE will go to the trouble of having undercover reviews and undercover female officers posing as providers. If a hobbiest follows the protocols, LE will have a tough time making a case. First, we don't discuss price or services, the Provider lists her services on her site and the client makes an appointment. So what. Cops want, as well as prosecutors, an easy case to prove. They want the client to solicit: "I will pay you x for sex."  State's case. I also do not believe the cops will go to the trouble of setting up a website, posting reviews, let alone the notion of having to pay a membership fee, in order to nab a low profile provider/client (high profile clients/political enemies aside).  All said, be careful, follow the protocols, and follow your intuition.  If you smell a rat, bail out asap.  If something goes wrong STFU. If the cops have enough evidence they typically will not question you. You do not have to prove your innocence; the government must prove your guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

A provider could get collared and agree to act as a magnet for other providers and for hobbyists, bringing them into law enforcement's net. You could be one of the unlucky ones. Case and point why you should use a healthy amount of wisdom when perusing reviews. Look for indications that a lady is poor at discretion, even if she screens and has many reviews. I would not chose a provider if I read in a review that she showed up wearing tight fitting clothing that showed off her assets, I don't need that type of attention to my activities. I will lean toward providers who I read show up looking like professionals or business people, because they could be at my location for a raft of reasons, being more difficult to put a make on.

So, what's the safe protocol to follow for the initial contact with provider? I'm wondering what kind of questions I can/shouldn't ask and what kind of statement I can/shouldn't make in order to avoid the entrapments?

NO SAFE PROTOCOL!  NO Coy Questions, no Euphamisms, No LE Check, No 2 Call System, No Envelopes laid on dressers not discussed, No 'Are You A Cop?' NOTHING IS SAFE ONCE YOU RESPOND TO A DECOY.  YOU WILL BE ARRESTED.

Good idea to avoid ALL discussion of a contract, even "you here for the extras?" ..mumble"...maybe.." is solicitation. BUT, even if you say nothing, or NO, I don't want ILLEGAL SERVICES, all they need to do is say you winked or nodded or used other code...after all,  you responded to an add, that implies consent to contract.

ONLY SAFE PROTOCOL?  NEVER SHOW UP TO THE COP GIRL'S STING

This could very well happen. My fear is sometime I worry a well reviewed provider may have been arrested, and LE now has their cell phone.

I'm not to big on seeing providers with no reviews or very few.....unless a review is done by a hobbist a know personally is legit. Right now I have a steady rotation of three providers I see all the time, base on how they travel. I know each voice, and they'll give me a hint if something is up.

Good Luck

If there isn't no safe protocol, what should one even write or say for the initial contact? Any sample? I'm just wondering how to do the initial contact. It seems like just purely based on luck.

Its not luck avoiding seeing the Cop Lady.  History History History.  Google the phone number. Use TER.  look for a hisotry of ads and reviews.  If the ads are chatty and personal and the pics are numerous and show faces or naughty bits, that's a good sign.  If she is paranoid that you're a cop, good sign maybe, a Cop probably doesn't want to bring up that idea.

But what to say on the phone on upon arrival if you didn't do your homework, or even despite your research you did a bad choice?  No, no safe protocol to avoid the trap.  Pretending there is a safe protocol is false security
