I was looking around to see if I could come across a way to have topics list differently, such as by new response, but I haven't found anyway to change it other than the overview/details button. Is there a way to change how they are displayed, or will topics only list by original post dates?

once they get near the bottom of page one, since any new replies scarcely get noticed.

Ok, thanks! I was wondering about that because sometimes there are interesting or really active threads that just get pushed off by new threads that may or may no get any responses.

I guess it's one way to keep everything fresh... and inevitably reposted ;)

it's off that page.

However, the threads aren't pulled (unless it's become too much of a train wreck and the mods are calling a halt to it). If there's a particular subject you know you saw, just use either a search or go back page by page until you find the thread you remember. Don't be surprised to find it's further back than you remember because this is a busy board! LOL

Cheers!

And it doesn't make any difference how many comments are in the thread either.  But once the 25th thread has been posted, the next one bumps the one at the bottom of the page to the next page.

A couple of years back the board tried to change the default to more closely mirror most other boards, where thread topics can get bumped to the top if they're busy. For some reason the rank and file TER members hated the change.

I still don't really understand why. Now what we have is that really interesting topics with lots of participation and energy get bumped off the first page, meaning they're dead.
