Every now and then I see someone mention meet and greets.  When/how are they listed?  Are they private, invite only events?  Where would they be listed?

I live outside Providence Rhode Island but could very easily make that type of event anywhere in southern New England.

In the TER General Boards drop-down menu (upper left hand corner) there is a Meet & Greet board listed just under 60 and Over, above Politics and Religion.

I know of three somewhat regular recurring M&Gs in our area:

There is usually one based in CT that gets advertised from time to time that's usually well attended it appears. I haven't been to it, but it draws many CT ladies and some MA and NYC. As we know, RI is a little less well represented. Seems to be 2-3x year.

There's another based in Boston that draws a similar circle of ladies as the CT one. Both are advertised on the M&G board with good notice. Same sort of frequency.  

The third one is the one hosted by Chloe Harper in Boston. She had two this year, I went to both. The draw is more in line with Chloe's circle and tends to be Boston/NH based with less a CT presence. Chloe's friends are all some really top ladies in Boston, like BostonMeg, BostonAlex, Kristen Lee, Erica Sweets, etc. She invites me via email. But I think she advertises it on the m&g board and also does on her website.

Full disclosure, I'm a "regular" with Chloe if you will.
I wouldn't expect one until early spring timeframe. Need to survive whatever frozen hell of buried in snow this winter brings. They appear to be a lot of work to put on so I surmise nobody wants to play roulette with the weather gods and risk a snowstorm on the day of the event

There are always M&G in many of the major metropolitan cities. Some are very low key discrete affairs and some are big bashes. You can find out from some ladies who attend frequently or you can find out the on boards. Just keep your eyes open.
