"Massive Attack" on Pandora

Hello all. As a newbie to both TER and the hobby I'd first like to thank you for having already steered me clear of a bad experience and given me the means to pursue this interest relatively safely. Most of my important questions have been asked and answered already by others (thanks for that also), but I do have a question I haven't seen answered yet. Music. This was something I wasn't even considering on my first date, but I was keenly aware of (the lack of it) during the visit. I've been married for quite some time now, so with my wife we could even have the news on in the background and not really care, but with the lady I was recently with I had nothing on and it felt uncomfortably quiet and "business-like."

For my next date (this weekend) I decided I should have something playing when she arrives, but I'm musically illiterate. My question is, for those of you who do choose to have music playing, what do you play? Or, better yet, if any of the ladies would like to answer this question by letting me know what music/kind of music you'd find most appropriate.

Thanks.

Ask her what style of music she likes during a date. If you've never used these music apps, and you're seeing a younger escort, she'll know about them.

The paid Pandora and Spotify subscriptions allow you to create your on "mood" playlist. On Spotify you can actually do a search of "sex" or "bedroom" or "making love" and find playlists that have already been assembled. Good luck

...With Pandora you can enter as many groups and/or music titles as you want. I heart radio only allows one entry to start a station. It takes some time to to really develope the station for either though. When a new tune begins you can select a thumbs-up or thumbs-down which further defines what style you want.

Both however do have "ready made" stations by genre and style that you can try. I like blues, jazz, and classic rock.

should pick up a universal speaker--it's a small portable speaker about the size of a shoebox.  You can get one at
Wal-Mart/Target for $30.   Plug your phone or iPod into it & get excellent sound.  It's really convenient for a hotel room--whether you're traveling or booked a room for a session.

Frank Ocean--Channel Orange is a can't miss, the SBs certainly love it.  You might also try Aluna George--Body Music.
If your girl is into country, I'd recommend Jenny Lewis--Rabbit Fur Coat.    --z

but I like background music.  Not so lound as to be distracting.  I don't want to feel like I'm at a concert!  I want my mind to follow our action...  I've found myself listening to the music, not pillow talk.  (Soap watching is really insulting!)   My inclination is to have music on the dresser nearer the door & aimed away...  good covering sound & pleasant.

I'd suggest a choice genre.

Seriously, I did.  At the time, I was very into nature sounds and had quite a few different sets to play, all timed to stop at a few minutes shy of an hour. ;-)

This was at a shared incall location, and another girl finally asked me after one of my dates, "WTF are you playing?!".... so I got the hint that maybe my background music selection was not too good, but none of my gentlemen callers had wanted to point that out.

What can I say?  I was going through a musical phase.

A couple of weeks ago, I was playing classic rock, but that didn't seem too popular either.  I'd already decided to spend this some time this weekend coming up with a few eclectic sets... but I'll leave the whale songs out lol.

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

And yes, I said it on porpoise.

(Now I'll go stand in the corner.)

...with my name on it. She plays it whenever we get together. Age of the client is relevant in this case. If you're music isn't popular with your in call mates does it really matter? The client matters more in this case. You can always change the music when it's just the ladies in the in call.

That's what's great about Pandora and I heart radio.

I like whale song too. Not sure about using it in session though. However I once visited a provider that had Frank & Wanda on the radio. What?! Yeah, that got changed for all subsequent visits. :-)

First off I think it all depends on musical taste and really the mood you are in.  I believe that music can be a "snap-shot" for who we are and how we are feeling.  What type of music do you like?  For me I'm big into Alternative music (The Smiths, Oasis, Stone Roses, etc.)  I tend to lean towards being more romantic with my music when I host.  Here is just a small sample of my playlist:

Again, for me, my playlists create a specific atmosphere.

In sublimation, like others have said create a playlist that describes you.  Have fun with it.  Good Luck & be safe!

My personal taste in music probably isn't going to be the preference of many, so I'll leave that out of it. However, you can't really go wrong with classic rock or some up-tempo blues.

Also, check out this album. It's nothing but boner jams:

. . . and some nice playlists. Thank you. I'm sure I'll keep several of these in mind (maybe not the whale sounds) depending on the mood and her preferences, but I did end up taking someone's advice that I ask the lady I'm seeing. She recommended Massive Attack - Mezzanine (Full Album) as one of her favorites and I have to agree that it feels like the rhythm and tempo I'm looking for tonight.

Let's hope all goes well.

Had a lovely young lady introduce me to the group "Massive Attack" which provided an excellent background to our efforts so created a "station" on Pandora that has served me nicely. Little vocals, nice rhythms, very sexy.

I don't share an incall anymore; that was back in my agency days.  After that chick made her comments about my music selections, I did ask a couple of regulars who admitted it was a bit too relaxing.  I get that.

The classic rock just seemed to remind my dates of how old we're all getting... lol.  Too many songs brought back memories of the seeing the Doobie Brothers or Ted Nugent for the first time and then when you realize how many years ago that was.... wow.  LOL.

Very happy to know I'm not the only one who likes whale song! :-
