whether you are hobbyist or provider, let me say you have my respect and appreciation, not just today, Veteran's day, but everyday!  I hate the current war, but being the son of a career Army officer, I know that soldiers don't select their fights, they just go.

Happy Veteran's day and THANK YOU!  Let's all pray that the all the folks currently in harms way will in the future be celebrated in November, and not May.

I've been catching the recent WWII documentary "The War" on the PBS channel. It's incredible what was asked of that (and every) generation to do and endure. So very sad that it is still all too frequently asked.

BTW our neighbors to the north have paid more than their share in our current foolishness.

The past couple of weeks here in the UK, I've proudly worn a poppy, and hope that wherever I am in late October/early November in the future, I will do the same.  My mom remembers when Americans wore poppies when she was young, sadly that tradition appears to have died.
