so i JUST figured out how to tell whether a username is a username or alias

just click on the post and see if the username has a little mail sign next to it. If so, it is a username. If not, it is an alias.

send a message to someone who only has a regular account it stays in limbo until they write a review or upgrade.

You can get through life on your looks.  For the guys in the room, we NEED to be smart.

For the record, I am in no way implying that Brooke is any less smart than my friend Mr Brain Surgeon.  After all, I would really like to "meet" her.  Let's just say that she had a blond moment, but her dark hair made it tough to notice.

are known to each other through their regular TER handles.  Some gals won't even see a guy unless they know his handle.

Therefore, if you have something to say that would be embarrassing to you or someone else whom you would like to protect, then the use of an alias is considered de rigeur.

People also use them from time to time for comic effect.

Using them to make personal attacks or other trollish activites is not recommended and could subject you to be outted.
