Can LE (or anyone else) hack into cell phones? Anything else smartphone users should know? Thanks!

What good reason your LE would have to go that far?  Are you a suspected terrorist or something...LOL :D

LE don't like to hack. The only way they are likely to get to you is by scheduling appointment and pretending to be a John or raiding the incall upon probable cause such as complaints from other patrons, if you host in hotel, or neighbors if you host at residential incall.

Now, if you have a jealous ex, and he wants to hack into your phone..Well that's a whole different story..

Always turn the GPS off before taking candids etc. Also, don't open links in emails sent from strangers- this can result in key-loggers and other spyware being downloaded onto your phone!

I noticed my phone go from busy busy 2-3 weeks ago... to dead!

And, I've noticed my phone doing weird things... like GPS turning on by it's self, etc!

thanks everyone! XOXO

You can download and install a program called lookout, it provides virus protection and back-up. Probably other programs out there but there is a free version of this program.

But all the locks are for gentlemen...as they say...lol..

Its only as secure as your least smartest hacker...

But that being said, having something to protect is a lot better than having nothing...

What he said. As for someone who was able to route calls from getting to you. That would require the other person to have had physical access to the phone.

They are a POS.

Mine is always turning itself on and off on its own, and doing other similar stuff that it shouldn't.

I like 'Lookout Security' which can be downloaded in the Google Play Store on Android phones....not sure about other operating systems though. It runs real time scans on your phone, checks webpages for safety before you go on them, and has other features, such as after three failed attempts for the password, your phone will be wiped clean & a picture will be taken of whoever took your phone, & sent to your e-mail, lol. If your phone is lost, you can also activate it to "scream" from your laptop....even if the battery is dead, & trace its location online. There are also ways to encrypt your cell phone.... but from what I've read, the encryption only kicks in if your phone is off first... most people don't walk around with their cell phones turned off.... so not 100% sure on that one.
