learning experience

I'll chalk it up to a learning experience.  I thought I had done enough research, but I will do some more and try again.

I plan on getting a preferred411 membership, which will hopefully be enough for another provider to see me.

Maybe when I get a few reference it will go easier, but if nothing else i've learned to re-confirm the appointment before I drive so far out of my way.

I am a newbie looking to get into the hobby. Found a provider about an hour from me with excellent reviews, great website, very professional, and decided to give it a shot.

I contacted her, she verified me via work info and agreed to see me.

I was on my way to see her when I received a text that she had a family emergency and needed to reschedule for a few days later. I said I understood and agreed to a new time.

So, the day comes, I try to call for directions but no answer. I decide to drive to the general vicinity anyway and hopefully get in touch with her there. I get there, no contact via phone, text, e-mail. I wait around a while, give up and go home.

Now, putting aside fact that I shouldn't have driven out there in the first place, why would this provider stand me up not once but twice?

If I threw up a red flag or something wouldn't it have been more professional to let me know first?

A provider in her position surely relies on reviews, so wouldn't it be better to avoid a negative review from me if nothing else?

Or, if I post something negative, am I assured of not getting further dates with other providers in the area?

I haven't heard from her (not sure if I even will) so I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for now, but still...

Just curious if this happens a lot or do I just have really lousy luck?

As for posting a negative review, they aren't going to allow it on this website unless a meeting took place.  If you never met her, then they won't allow that negative review.

Best not to dwell on this too much, as you will never know what her problem was anyway.  If she emails you later to apologize, then maybe you might forgive her and try again.  I would say that unless that happens, forget her and find somebody else to meet with and just move on.  There are too many fish in the sea to be dwelling on women like this.

By the way, this happens to everybody sooner or later.  Once a provider does that to me, I will never rebook with her, even if I have seen her before.  Unless she contacts me to apologize, which is forgivable.

But when a provider no call/no show's me, that is completely disrespectful.  I will not see providers who act like their time is more valuable than everybody else's.  Take my advice and adopt the same principles for yourself, it will result in you wasting less time and ending up with better women over the long term.  Like I say, there are thousands of fish in the sea anyway.

As for why she did it...one of the more common reasons is that a "regular" contacted her after she agreed to see you and he wanted to see her for a longer date.  And you got bumped.  It's also likely it happened again the second time as well.

You could post an inquiry on your regional board asking about her...but beware that as a newbie your credibility will be questioned and her WK (white knights) contingent will roast you in all probability.  But you might also hear that others have had similar issues with her.  Gals that do this are fairly well known in most regions.

The better option is to PM a few of the recent reviewers and ask them if they have heard of this behavior.  That way you won't highlight your irritation with the situation and maybe find out that she does this routinely.

In any case there are plenty of other gals that will be quite happy to accept your money.  Don't let one gal who is "not professional" to sour you on this game we all play.

You may hear from her at some point with an exotic story of tragedy.  I wouldn't waste another second on her...as all that has happened is her cash ran short and you might still be a willing dude.  I'd hate to see you become a three time loser.
