Hello - I am somewhat new to this and get really paranoid.   Has anyone ever had problems w/ LE utilizing this site and checking reviews?  Thanks,

might be--Do LE read this board and use information here to trap providers or hobbyists? Most likely.  If you see well reviewed providers with reviews from established hobbyists, you are more likely to stay safe.

reading reviews.  At least no cop I know.  When caught, the cop would be fired.  Yeah, sure, you are "investigating".  Explain it to the Chief...   That doesn't mean Cops don't read TER...  just not official duties.  
Anything put out on the internet becomes public.  Cops, boyfriends, pimps, competition, family members...  can read TER.  It is Google-able.  So reviews should not reveal sensitive information like real names, particular hotels or locations.  My first successful meeting...  the gal explained her security needs & impressed me with using a nearby city not her exact section, nor a detailed description of the location which might be recognized.  

LE might well use TER or other public information in the course of an investigation if the trail led here.  For instance, if a provider was busted, they would secure her property including her phones & laptop.   If they have her dead to rights...  might not bother with her devises.  But on the other hand, there's the chance that they might copy her hard drive to go after her agency or pimp.  

Few areas...  have the resources to devote a full time squad to vice.  Typically, the agency runs a quick sting once or twice a year to show they are "cracking down".  You'll see some currant threads on busts on the legal board right now.  But in between LE has more important things to do.

This hobby is all about discretion.  You need to be discrete, the gal needs to be discrete.  Being sloppy gets folks caught.

LE does sit around scanning reviews on TER and other hobby sites. I have seen several indictments and warrants which specifically mention reviews, TER and other sites. That is not an afterthought for them either, but a widely used tool. So the answer is YES, they do read up as part of their official investigations and it not following bread crumbs.  

Lets also talk about the resources. The FEDS fund some of the local police vice squads, so resources are there for the asking.  

Yes, being sloppy gets folks busted, but also thinking that you are immune is sloppy. Never under estimate LE.

seasoned ter members to understand this.  They all contact me thru throw away phones, & fake emails & don't care that my computer is registerd to me & is with me, like my phone is when they are texting info about what they want to do during an appt and how much they are willing to pay.....or when they are asking for discounts.....

and is that really the ad you run to attract business? I don't want to tell you how to run your business, but you should really rethink that ad.

Many years ago, during my previous member ship ( before I signed as Flasailorron in 2006) there was a prostitution sting in Tampa and surrounding area by multiple Leo's. The spokesperson told how they used Craigslist and The Erotic Review Board to find the ladies.  That is when I left TER as a member, but sigh Ed on occasionally just lurking for a few years.

So yes, LE can, will, and does use any kind of publication to do their job.
