If you get cuffed, LE, if not, safe to go.  If you are a provider, state how much for doing a specific sex act and take the cash when handed to you.  Again if cuffed, LE, if not, safe.

Seriously, there is no best method to do an LE check.  Cops can lie, lead you on, initiate contact and in some states may even have sex with you!  California even allows entrapment, at least until it is taken to the supreme court to rule their new law is unconstitutional.  Even if you say no with a smile, then you can be charged in California because the law claims the smile indicates another service is available or desired.

Minimize risks by proper research and screening, but remember never 100%!
