I am relatively new to the hobby and have seen 5 providers so I guess that makes me still a newbie. I had a weird experience with a supposed provider on BP this week so I thought I would ask some questions.
I saw a girl on BP I really wanted to set up an appointment with. I texted her to see what her rates were. She responded by text and then called me maybe 2 or 3 minutes later. I asked her if she was available that day and what area she was located in. She told me her approximate location and I told her I would be calling her back as I was not necessarily set on booking an appointment that day. I ended up not calling her back as I was not able to see her that day.
A few days later I texted her to see if she was still in my area. She responded back that she was. I texted back "I want to set up a date." She responded with "what kind of date." I stated "I just wanted to hangout." She asked "what will I have to do and how much?" Although I am still relatively new to this, that raised a huge red flag. I am convinced this is LE at this point but I thought I would play along as I have not said anything remotely incriminating. I responded with "I can't tell you how much to charge for time and companionship". She then calls me twice and I do not answer either time. I texted her "I am not able to talk at the moment". She then asked "who is this?" I stated, "I simply want to know if you are available for a date." She asked "what kind of date?" I asked "do you not have an ad on BP". She then stated "no you have the wrong number". I know that is a lot but I hope you could follow that convo.
Was this without a doubt LE? I was convinced it was but when she came with the "no you have the wrong number", it made me think a little. Wouldn't LE try to take it further to try and hang me or were they saying to themselves "he knows so just leave it alone"? Her ads were still online at the time but have since been taken down. All of this got me to thinking about some questions regarding LE.
1) Do they normally use less provocative photos of actual officers or do they use completely random photos they find of models or escorts?
2) When they have stings, do they normally take the ads offline or do they stay online? With some advertisers, I see ads online from 5 or 6 months ago. Does this give me a little more security?
3) Are numbers in the ad going to be local numbers? If not, how do they get numbers registered in different states? I guess it is doable but would LE go through all of that trouble for a bust? Maybe I am a little nieve when it comes to this.
Overall, I think this was good for me because I was starting to get way too comfortable with setting up appointments. I am very suspicious at this point that something is going on in my area. That experience mixed with something else on BP has me paranoid. There were 2 or 3 other ads in my area that were of smoking hot girls and something just seemed fishy about them. I googled one of the numbers and it showed the number was POSSIBLY linked to a bust in FL. All of those ads are currently offline as well.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You can get a phone number w/any area code you want, with no extra charge. You can purchase a $10 Tracfone, and when you register it, it will ask what zip code you will most frequently use the phone in & you can enter whatever zip you so desire.... hence, a WI provider with a Vegas zip code... some BP girls who are known to run scams(cash and dash, upsellers, fake pic users, etc) also use this tactic to keep switching up their persona(ie, they may post an ad with 'Visiting Your City!' with a different area code, when in all actuality, it's a local who's been ripping people off for 6 mos.
You can never guess what LE is up to, so just play it safe & see reviewed girls. Also use Tineye with any pic that looks to good to be true..especially if the donation doesn't match up with the looks. Also, when you google the numbers, don't just google it like 608-123-4567... also google 6081234567 and also spelled out, as all 3 will have different results & different hits.
With the scenario you described, it might have been LE, or it might have been a BF/husband that discovered what she was doing & trying to get specifics, as I don't see even a new provider asking,"what will I have to do and how much".
go with your instincts. You said it raised a big red flag - well, don't ignore it!
Many BP gals are all right, but you really need to know what to look for and how to go about it. It usually isn't an arena for newbies, although I know it's sometimes the only "game" in town.
Never, NEVER get "too" comfortable in this hobby, even with your ATFs. Complacency will bring both you and her down.
Take this as a bullet whizzing by your ear and keep ducking when things don't sound or feel right.
good advice from Joliene, I would add as a newbie....STAY OFF OF BP
pay the $$ and get VIP. If you get busted, you are looking at tens of thousands in legal fees, not to mention, loss of job, divorce costs etc. VIP service is $20 a month and well worth it. You decrease your chances of getting tangled up with LE if you only see well reviewed ladies, and the ladies are reviewed by veteran hobbyists. I don't consider myself a newbie anymore, but I still read this board and I still only see well reviewed ladies, with reviews by veteran hobbyists.
You used prostituion terminology when you asked "I want to set up a date." In fact, that's a term commonly used in LE, next to "trick"
She was was probably thinking: "Shit! is this guy a cop?" If I was her I would have texted the same thing back.
Not tryin to go Gordon Ramsay on your ass hWere, but if you've seen 5 gals and you have a TER VIP, you should have known better.
So what do you say when you say when you contact a provider? What can you ask?
Reply and I'll grade your answer.

Although I am new to this, I just find it strange that a provider would ask over text "what do I have to do and how much". That mixed with her calling me several times after both of our intercations seem a little fishy. The greater majority of providers I have contacted will not call you several times to set up a date. Maybe this is more common than I realize but it would surprise me if it was.
When I call a provider, I introduce myself and ask if they are available. I ask what their rates are but never go into specifics or ask for specific services. If they were to go into specifics I would not set anything up with them. Everything has gone smooth with the providers I have seen so far. I am an expert in many things but hobbying is not one of them. What tips do you have when contacting a provider?
Just saying, to me the perfect call goes like this; Hi Im------ and I wanted to know your availability ---
ok so where are you located ---- Ok shall i call when I get close?
The less said the better. I could be wrong but I never ever want to discuss rates! I have yes, but always feel uneasy if it was discussed.

This is my first post on this site, in fact I just signed up on this site as I'm starting to get interested in becoming a hobbyist. And after doing some research (something that struck me dumbfounded as I realized how many people are incapable of doing), I have always been wondering about something...
From what I understand, providers usually prefer having a short, simple conversation to keep it safe and discreet, hence is why a lot of providers feel perturbed when asked about the rates. But what I have always wondered about is how no one ever comes up with a code or phrase that strictly define/illustrate rates...
For example...
$150 an hour - We can talk it over a bottle of DOM PERIGNON
$250 an hour - We can talk it over a bottle of CRISTAL
$300 an hour - We can talk it over a bottle of KRUG
$500 an hour - Have you seen the new IPAD2? I would love to have one...
$800 2 hours - My GUCCI bag is torn, I need to get a new one.
$1500 3 hours - My LOUIS VUITTON luggage was damaged at the airport, I need to get a new one.
$2000 4 hours - I'd to love have dinner with you but my OSCAR DE LA RENTA DRESS is still at the dry clean.
$5000 dusk to dawn - My CARTIER watch is no longer working, I need to replace it.
$10000 day - Have you seen the new VERTU phone? I would love to have one...
$15000 week - I'm not happy at the moment, I just lost my 2 CT DIAMOND RING...
$35000 month - I just crashed my BMW, I don't have transportation...
My phone conversation with a provider would probably be something like this...
Me: Hey, this is (name). I'm wondering if you're free tonight.
Provider: Hey (name). Yea I'm available tonight.
Me: Nice! It would be nice if we can talk for an hour...plus I have something that I want to give to you.
Provider: Is it an IPAD? I have always wanted one of that.
Me: You'll see what it is when we meet.
Provider: Ok. How about we meet at (location)?
Me: That's sounds great! Does (time) works for you?
Provider: Yes it's fine. Can't wait to see you soon.
Me: Me too! I'll call you when I'm near.
Provider: Ok. Bye.
Me: Bye.
Simple, informative, and discreet.
Did you check her reviews? Did she have any? Did you TER search her phone number, email, etc? This IS necessary homework. Then you are not texting, asking Qs you already SHOULD know the answers to.
I'll NOT inquire for rates... the Advertizer should have some way to let you know, either in the ad itself or a link to a website.
I recomment that Newbies... and those who are risk adverse... stick to well reviewed providers.

I searched her number and I literally found nothing. No reviews, no website, no nothing. And I didn't know about the TER search so thanks. Her rates were not in her ad so that is the only reason I inquired about them via text.
How bout writing a review? You don't mention if you did any research. If you didn't shame on you.
If you did some research and didn't come up with anyting, than toftt, with your experience isn't something I would recommend.
I don't contact ladies if I don't know the rate and still have questions about services. And yes I've toftt more than a few times. When I contact a lady, usually by email, it's strictly "I'd like to see you for an hour at your incall "
You need to start thinking more with the big head and less with the little one.

I thought writing a review would take forever but I was wrong. I only started hobbying in late January. I finally sat down and learned the process this weekend and wrote a few of them. Hopefully they will be approved soon so I can get VIP status.
There's a great blog series on police procedures when it comes to sting operations.

The only time I've ever had any drama is when Ive messed with BP. A provider showed up at my hotel and it was a total pain to get rid of her when her true colors came out. Pony up for a VIP membership and only see providers who have been reviewed well (at least 2 good reviews). It will be well worth it. It is SO easy for LE or a scammer/criminal to set you up BP. At least on TER if a provider gives awful service or is a scammer the person they pissed off will report it on here. If you think about it, of the five things that could happen when you see a non-reviewed provider, four of them are bad (arrest, scammed, robbed/stabbed or disease). That's an 80 percent chance of something bad happening. Not good odds.
Gotta know what your doing. It's not for noobs, thats for sure.
